Just saw a new trailer where Leah wants Christina to adopt her. I thought Amber was in her life a little more these days, but maybe not.

Amber will no doubt make it all about herself and make herself the victim and not just realise she’s always been a tit neglectful parent. I still can’t get over that she’s STILL being paid by a show about mums when she’s never been one.Wow bet that’s a kick in the teeth for Amber!
I agree, I can't imagine an adoption happening, it would take alot for that to occur. I really feel for Leah, she is clearly so hurt by Amber.Even though Amber clearly hasn’t been a consistent parent and is completely self-centered…she does love Leah. With Gary having custody, not really sure what the purpose would be of Christina adopting Leah. If Gary died, it would mean Amber can’t get custody, that would be the most logical reason for wanting it…but Leah is 14/15 already, and seeing as Christina raised her and for practical purposes she has been her mother she should have a decent chance of getting legal custody through the courts if it ever came to that anyway. Gary isn’t working away such as in the military so it’s there is no issue like having no parent at home to sign medical forms etc. if Gary has done the decent thing and put Leah’s share of the tv appearance fees into a trust fund she should also have that as financial support if he died before she is fully independent.
I know in earlier series Leah didn’t want contact with Amber and Gary kept inviting her over and giving the chance for the relationship to repair. But he didn’t force Leah to be alone with her, so unless Amber is trying to force unwanted contact, there isn’t a reason from Gary’s perspective to want to cut Amber completely from their lives. He’s not perfect…his patience has been tested many times…but overall he has repeatedly tried to keep Amber in Leah’s life, even though it must at times put a strain on Christina and it’s not even clear that it’s good for Leah. I think he took the view that she’s her mother, no matter how useless, they should try to have a relationship even if it’s a minimal part of Leah’s life.
The amount of times Amber has publicly slagged them off and then been forgiven is unreal. I think they just realise there are mental health issues and accept it. They’ve done plenty to support her such as offer for her to live on their property and go with her to her trashed home.
Unless something major has happened, I think it’s poor form for Gary to allow Leah to be expressing this publicly. Privately it’s a valid question for her to want to ask. Although Amber makes no effort to be a mother…she has always been consistent in that she loves her daughter and wants her to visit etc, I’m not aware of her ever not actually wanting her child. So for her child to say on tv she basically wants to disown her mother could be a cruel blow to Amber. Although Christina is effectively her mother, and that’s obvious to all who follow the show, there’s no need to have a child blatantly pushing to cut her out of her life on the show. Some damage to relationships can be permanent…and Leah talking about this on tv could ruin her relationship with Amber life-long. Leah is still a child and won’t know yet how she will feel as an adult towards her mother.
We had Chelsea go to the opposite extreme with Aubree. She spent much of a series deliberating over whether she was old enough for a mobile phone. She turned minor parenting issues into a storyline for the tv obligations while failing to discuss her issues about Adam…which is what mtv probably wanted from Aubree. Chelsea tried to avoid making her child the centre family rifts/rows on tv now that she’s old enough (and her schoolfriends) to be aware the aftermath of when this stuff airs.
Same with Maci, she tends to discuss without Bentley being present the situation with Ryan and anytime she prevents contact and restricts it to only while grandparent are present has been due to obvious dangers due to his drug use. I’ve never noticed her wanting Bentley to let Bentley be negative about Ryan on tv, I think it may have slipped in at times, but overall she’s protected him from saying too much…which could have damaged his relationship with Ryan.
There’s nothing wrong with Leah deciding to call Christina ‘mom’ and considering her to be her main mother, but it seems very unnecessary to have her considering her options regards her future relationship with Amber on tv.
Gary's very overweight/unhealthy looking and isn't he also training or trained as a cop, which is a risky job in the US?
Maybe Leah wants to be sure if anything happens him before she's 18 that she stays with Christina and her sibling.
It's not a bonkers idea and I've heard in real life of teens being adopted by step parents.
Gary's made a nice life for his kids, I doubt the decision will come down to wanting amber's child support cheques.
Having said all that, letting Leah discuss it in screen was exploitative by both Gary and by MTV
It will continue for a while. The fan base is still there. Plus the oldest kids are not far from leaving school. So that will be shownI don’t think tm will end without flogging every different angle. It’s gone from being about the children to going the same way most reality shows with younger/certain age cast members on. Ply them with alcohol and see what happens. Of course they throw in a therapist or 2 to make it seem like they care about the casts wellbeing and it’s not just a tit show for entertainment. I believe it will end when people literally stop watching. They should have took better care of the cast who actually had entertaining qualities and not made-for-tv like Corey. I’d love to see a series of just kail and her family (I know not everyone likes them). Chelsea has her own show now, I don’t like home makeover progs so haven’t watched it. I’d even watch Jenelle and family if it included Barb!
I think he is partly scared of her. He did encourage Leah to speak to her Mum many times so wanted her to have that "bond". But of course money helpsDo you think Gary is nice to Amber just because of Leah or the financial reasons like if she stopped filming they’d stop filming him?
Yeah as the money could help her future. His singing ain't gonna.David got a court order so Ensley can’t film. He’s just spiteful and definitely isn’t doing it for her benefit
Yeah saw this on 1 of teen mom fan pages. If that was her how come Maci didn't know her? Or was that a lieSomeone on Reddit said this is Rhine’s GF?! I never knew this. I remember this scene so well

Well apparently it’s because Maci moved schools to graduate just before Bentley was born and this was the school so it would make sense I guess if she hadn’t been there that longYeah saw this on 1 of teen mom fan pages. If that was her how come Maci didn't know her? Or was that a lie
