Janelle and hubby fighting again on social media

I’ve always had a soft spot for Jenelle, I know she has fucked up so many times, but I think that all she knows is drama and trauma. I don’t think Barb is a saint I think she is just as chaotic as Jenelle. I think Jenelle loves her kids and Barb loves her, they just don’t know how to function. She’s never had a normal loving relationship from her mum, dad or partner or had a true friend. If only she figured out all she needs is her children then she can go from there, academically she seems intelligent but lacks any common sense it seems. She was rejected by all the teen mom girls (i do see why she was) but I think that hurts her deeply. I honestly wish her well. I hope she leaves David, falls in love with herself and enjoys her children, and then one day meets someone who really really loves her. I think counselling would benefit her and her mum enormously. She needs some genuine love in her life.

Barb talks about that at one point in one of the series. She said something like "I took my beatings to get this house". It sounded like she stayed with a guy who beat her until she knew she'd get the house in the split.

She only just got custody of her son . I hope she's not going to start messing up.

Do you remember which season?
I looked up Jenelle’s dad and she says she was a complete daddy’s girl and then she didn’t see him since the age of 12. That’s sad

I took it as she stayed until she saved enough money to get out. Barb, Jenelle and her siblings were in another state completely (Massachusetts based on Barb’s accent?) and then moved. That’s why Jenelle hasn’t seen her dad - they moved to North Carolina and he didn’t bother to keep in touch. Awfully sad what they all went through.

I do have sympathy for Jenelle’s chaotic childhood with Barb, but the way she defends David, allowed that dog to be killed, chased that guy who cut her off on the highway shows she just loves the drama. She’s been homophobic, racist and just hateful on social media. The drama is great to watch but I don’t like the thought of her making huge money off MTV while she’s so offensive.
