Even though him not a particular fan of Chloe’s personality, I will say some of the comments about her faking her pain seem a bit uncalled for. My best friend has fibromyalgia and it’s honestly no joke. There have been times when she has had flare ups and truly can’t leave her bed for days at a time. I didn’t know much about fibromyalgia until we met a few years ago but since being friends I’ve learnt so much about it (enough to make this comment) that I just don’t think it’s something that is “put on” for the cameras.
As someone with the same conditions as her it seems very put on so I think my comments are fair. I know everyone has different severity etc but I’ve had this for over 10 years and I can tell when someone’s putting it on a bit. I had someone in school say they had endo after I was diagnosed because I was one of the first known with it and it wasn’t a big thing back then. I helped her so much gave her advice on how to get help etc. turned out she faked the whole thing and didn’t get diagnosed at all. So after being told I should have a hysterectomy it pisses me off that people play up to it and put it on. So I can comment and say I think that as someone who knows what it’s truly like. When I was diagnosed I knew no one I had to research so much myself to try and understand my body and what was going on. The last 2 years so many people and insta celebs etc etc are all saying oh I have endo I think I have endo and some probably do but others are also saying it to look ‘cool’. Like all these tiktok people suddenly having adhd this last year as it seems to be ‘on trend’. I don’t doubt Chloe has health issues but I think her/the show are making out it’s far worse than it is, just like they did with Donna

I don’t doubt that Chloe has these diagnoses BUT I think she’s been asked to “act” in pain at times, I mentioned earlier in the thread one particular scene where it didn’t seem genuine at all, so producers probably tell her to act as she would during a normal flare up to dramatise it a bit

She basically admitted this on a live after the first episode while she was away with Ellie.

I really like Chloe’s mum, shame Chloe’s such an annoying bastard but her mum seems so sweet, regardless to how and what she did when she was younger, you can tell she regrets it a lot and Chloe clearly knows what to say to make her mum do more for her
I think she’s a bit hard on her. She got back when she was 3 right? So for all these years has made effort to change her life

Yeah, very random time to suddenly say it’s effecting her, clearly playing up for the camera

Also, can someone pass a message on to Ellie and tell her to take that bottle of choccy milk off that child, makes me cringe every time I see it and I’m sorry to sound like mumsnet but i can’t COPE with seeing the kid walk around with it hanging from his teeth every time they’re on the screen

I can’t comment on endo as I have no idea what that’s like but I am sorry for everything you’ve gone through. I can only share what I know about fibromyalgia and I guess because I know how much my best friend suffers I’d hate for people to think because Chloe comes across as fake it’s the same for everyone else. If that makes sense?

no one is saying everyone is faking it.

I think people like Chloe who play up to it make it harder for everyone that suffers from it.

Definitely, she pisses me off how she keep’s slagging her of but is happy for her to play second parent to Lizzy H.

Don't us mums just have to get on with it though? If we are ill, in pain? I'd like to see what she would do if she didn't have her mum? She wouldn't be able to just sit there? She would have to get up and get on with it? I know it's different but a lot of mums have toddlers plus a new born after a c section and they just get on with it? If you have no other choice then you have to?

Also I thought EH was annoying until they started saying EHE!

Literally this! As a mother I have no choice but to continue. I chose to have my son therefore I will love and nurture him the best I can. I won’t ship him off to anyone else or make his dad not work and have him because I’m in pain. I just get on with it like I’m sure everyone on this thread does. That’s how life works when you have children unfortunately you have them healthy or unwell

This. I have endo and there have been days I've had to CRAWL out of bed to deal with my children. I hold down a full time job and have barely taken time off due to pain. I dose my self up on pain and get myself to work.
Im a single parent and I have to provide for my kids, there not anyone else's responsibility.
