Since the start Amber has not been able to do the basic parenting. Structure, routine, boundaries and understanding positive and negative reinforcement. Her life would be easier if she got these, as the professional told her when Brooklyn was Hudson's age. She rewards naughty behaviour to get peace. Brooklyn kicking the living room door! Then she shouts. Go and get him, tell him we do not kick doors and if you do it again this will happen = whatever you say the consequences are, SEE IT THROUGH. She does not do this and she will go through the same with Hudson. It would help her so much if she got the basics. They boys are crying out for it. It’s like rapid return with sleeping in their own beds. Keep on until they learn. They will push you to your absolute limits in the process. There needs to be specialised training groups for new parents who struggle
 
I know it’s random but there’s a scene which is always stuck out to me. Brooklyn had just come from school and said I want that drink that Amber was holding. She said you can only have it if and I thought she was gonna say “if you say please” but she just said if you tell me if you have a girlfriend.
It stood out me to because to me that’s basic manners you should be teaching your child
 
We are not seeing a lot of Marley as MTV seem to think this is the Chloe show while the other mums are dealing with so many issues but it would be interesting to see. I reckon Chloe and Jordan get the basics and that Markey is a contented happy wee boy with a good routine. I think Chloe has done well with Marley. Could be wrong, just my opinion. I don’t like her much but she seems like a good mum

I’ve just watched the bit in earlier seasons though, where Chloe’s writing down finances for affording a house and she got annoyed at her Mum when she told her to “get real” for saying she spends £30 a month on clothes 🤣

Chloe and I are the same age and I dont think I spend £30 a year on clothes:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The one I always remember is not sure if it was season 2 or 3 but Brooklyn kept hitting her while she was on the couch playing with her phone and she didn’t really do nothing I remember she told ste about it when they were talking about co parenting but ste did t seem phased and went off on one over something else. Like no wondering he’s kicking doors now

This is what I’ve been thinking but I wouldn’t say she’s a good mum only because I’ve got nothing really to base it off since you never see her with Marley or engaging with him on the show 😂 (not saying she isn’t just at least show us her being a mum)

This is what I’ve been thinking but I wouldn’t say she’s a good mum only because I’ve got nothing really to base it off since you never see her with Marley or engaging with him on the show 😂 (not saying she isn’t just at least show us her being a mum)

I rewatched the seasons and there’s a scene when she’a sulking of her mum’s fiancé making dinner. Brooklyn is being a bit naughty, hitting and throwing, definitely terrible teens and she’s just sat on her phone. She shouts at him but doesn’t physically stop him or explain why what he’s doing is wrong. I can’t imagine it’s changed much.

I think in most things I’ve seen she just says “Brooklyn, stop it” and that’s about it, he carries on and then she just leaves it. Like you say she doesn’t appear to communicate with him about why she’s asking him to stop, or try anything to get him to stop.
I’m watching an old episode now where Amber and Ste are screaming at each other and Brooklyn gave Amber a yoghurt to open and keeps pointing at it with a spoon and eventually starts hitting Ste with the spoon. The whole time neither one of them acknowledges him. They just carry on screaming at each other and don’t stop and think hang on, not only is our kid trying to ask for something, he’s also witnessing this! 🤦🏻‍♀

I also found it so funny that Darren took the pinky promise so serious 🤣 like if he did pinky promise then he would have to marry Sassi at 30 🤣 it’s pretty obvious Sassi wants to be with Darren.
