I honestly would like to think that maybe she was repeating some positive attitude mantra than actually making a statement about her mothering skills. Like maybe if that’s just an affirmation she makes to calm her thoughts then ok I can understand her not wanting to spiral but if she actually thinks she’s a dam good Mom I don’t think she can be helped cos that is next level ignorance.

Corey annoys me so much I feel like he is another Javi who just lays on this super fake persona for the camera but has another humour bubbling away beneath the surface.

Tad controlling don't you think? He did not want her so moves on very quick, he could see how hurt she was, she was very desperate to setting down he wasnt, and now look at him. I do agree with him, this new relationship is going too fast, thank god no ring. She had expensive taste! 60k!!
 
I have always thought that Branden and Theresa are great parents who protect her from the problems of her birth parents. Years ago they had to ask C&T to stop talking about her on camera as she was a little older and it was not appropriate. Tyler went of the deep end about it and it was clear he was still too immature to know why they asked them to stop. Last series they took Carly over for the weekend and planned lots of fun activities. C&T half made a scrap book for her, that they had weeks to prepare but started that day making them very, very late for the zoo. They were then late the next day I think. They bang on about loving Carly, but when it counted they left Carly and her family hanging around for hours. I bet stuff like this has happened before and that is why Branden and Theresa are reluctant for more contact.

In all fairness to Chey, her and Zack have been together multiple times since they were younger. I don’t think she should get engaged that quick though! And she got pregnant really quick. Exactly that about Cory, he moved pretty quickly with Taylor too. I wanna shout at him ‘calm down Cory boy you have a permanent part on the show!’ Surprised he is still on there because Taylor got kicked off for old racist tweets didn’t she? And ambers still there for all her wrongdoings too🤦🏼‍♀️
In regards to Brandon and Theresa, catelynn and Tyler admitted a few years ago to the social worker that they never ask how Carly is doing. So asking them to be on the show seems like it’s all purely for the show! They even ran late to see her to finish a scrap book that they could have sent to her 🤦🏼‍♀️
 
I’d totally forgotten about the being late for Carly thing? I used to really like them but as times gone on I think I like them less and less?

Obviously they had bad upbringings but they seem to just blame everything on everyone else? They clearly were doing nothing to support Novas learning at home? They did even know what the word Phonics meant? 😂
 
First of all, WTF is MTV doing with the ads? Does anyone else watch the series on a Wednesday on MTV, last week I ff all the ads and the show was 38 minutes long. I thought it was shorter!
Maci & Taylor-have the utmost respect for them more and more each episode. I can’t wait to see him put Larry in his place. Maci must have been scared as hell in the gas station, I don’t like the way MTV put it across it was kind of all dramatic then passed off. I just think they missed an opportunity to highlight something there and didn’t. Maybe I’m just overthinking, or maybe it’s just a normal thing to happen in the USA?
Mack truck and Rhine are a whole ass joke. I just feel so sorry for Bentley having a loser father which everyone enables. Poor lad must feel like he’s going crazy feeling rejected while Rhine’s family and wife insist it’s his own mother’s fault.
Amber- Urgh she’s just so dramatic in everything she does. She must really have no one though, no friends or anything, they have all dwindled and left over the years. Not cool that she was more bothered about her dog than she ever has been about Leah. This is when we are gonna see the effects of the dysfunctional parenting some of these kids have faced now they are growing up with a voice of their own.
Cate & Ty-I do like that Tyler is so involved in making sure that if Nova has issues then she is given the time and patience to help her. Things like ADHD in girls is easily missed, my daughter was showing signs from age 3, but because she wasn’t “classic textbook” she slipped through the net so many times, not for lack of trying but wasn’t diagnosed till age 12. Her schooling and whole life has been affected by this late diagnosis for sure and I think Tyler is right to be concerned.
The Carly situation is sticky I think Cate & Ty have missed chances with her when they should have been consistent but when people say “when she’s 18 she will want to live with them” I don’t agree. I think B & T are great parents and probably do this whenever something comes up about C & T: 🤦🏻‍♀️ They seem opposites to C & T, really have their tit together which is what they wanted for Carly in the first place.
Cheyenne-I’ve really warmed to her. I didn’t like her at first but I think she’s a fantastic mother with a great support network. She’s done so well co parenting with Corey when he was clearly messing her about before. Corey needs to calm down he’s so over the top, NOBODY is that positive all the time.
 
Amber saying she is a great mum and saying to her mum why should she try with Leah as it’s not her problem. What a witch. Leah seems like such a lovely grown up girl and that’s all down to Gary and Kristina.
Cheyenne just wanted another baby and I don’t think she cared who with as long as she got pregnant.
Tyler is like a feral animal who had been backed into a corner, he definitely does not want another baby that’s for sure.
And Ryan - well I have no words for Ryan. How he is towards Bentley is so sad. Also I feel Maci needs to do a Chelsea and step away from the the show now and give Bentley his privacy - that birds and the Bees conversation did not need to be recorded, I mean that’s what every 12 year old boy
wants their welcome to sex talk filmed for all to see 🙄
 
Does anyone else think they have had to start ticking boxes of covering relevant topics in this series too? Voting, sex ed, talking to children about personal space etc?
Just feels a bit like they are running out of drama so shoehorning things in?
As a previous poster mentioned they definitely skimmed over Macis ordeal a bit?

As much as I love the show, I’ve watched them all since 16 and pregnant. I think the show has run it’s course, they’re not teen moms anymore and they’re kids are nearly teens😂 don’t get me wrong I would love for it to run forever because I love being nosey but at the same time, I reckon it’s just over edited and faked now.
Can’t wait for the Larry and Taylor showdown though, Taylor has kept quiet for so long!
 
Amber needs to go she is such a drain I can’t stand her. Kristina is the sort of step mum you could only dream of your child having, she is so loving and kind to Leah and always try’s to include Amber. It’s sad because she clearly has serious mental health issues but doesn’t seem to do much to help herself?

Novas voice 😯 kills me every time it’s so cute!

I won’t be surprised if Maci leaves soon.

I agree with you. I do remember part of Tyler’s annoyance seemed to stem from b&t doing a magazine shoot with Carly and their adopted son, but then complaining about Carly being shown on the show. I get why Tyler was annoyed but also get that it’s completed b&t’s decision as to when and how their daughter is shown. Personally I think they made the right decision as wouldn’t want my kids on a show with farrah (I know she’s gone now) and the other car crash people 🤦🏼‍♀️

I wathed Tyler and Cates baby reveal. I didn't see anything too bad in it. Myself and dh would have some black humour about our kids but it doesn't mean we don't support each other or love the kids. (but in fairness it is very hard when they are young so yes it is hell). I love how Kristina parents. Leah is very lucky with her bonus mum, I also like how protective Tyler was of Maci after the shooting and wouldn't allow mtv access.
 
Can’t believe I forgot about Mackenzie. I think she works hard and must have really wanted a fresh start to move away from her whole family and support network. What she sees in Josh I have no clue. He just smirks and mumbles and doesn’t really seem to give a tit. I don’t think are right for each other but the children will always pull them together. It was said he had a bang on the head at rodeo and that coupled with the meds he was on made him distant, but he’s been like this the whole time. The kids will suffer in that on again off again marriage. They’ve probably seen some horrendous fights already as neither of them try and hide it.

Because he has conveniently forgotten that he abused drugs and ended up losing access to Bentley altogether for a while although I think he saw him at Jen and Larrys. He’s also forgotten that he was a tit excuse for a father even before the heavy drug use and always prioritised his trucks and girlfriends over Bentley while leaving his parents to primarily care for Bentley when he should have been having father/son time. For a while his parents supported Maci but for whatever reason Larry especially has turned on her and instead of telling Rhine everything he has done wrong, is backing him up and telling him everything wrong with his relationship with his son is down to Maci. Absolutely pisses me off so much, Rhine is the most spoiled person on the show, I honestly can’t believe anyone would justify his actions over the years.

Also the very fact that Rhine’s ex Dalis spoke out against them speaks volumes
