Teddy Toff

I don’t think she glamorises it, to be honest. Much of the worse stuff she’d be too ill to post, or wouldn’t be suitable for social media, or would involve other people. Some people on section do have access to their phones/social media; some have leave/unescorted leave, but a lot of it is just… sitting around. It’s not unusual to see young women in makeup or with clean hair or with clean rooms or who’re articulate enough to produce content SOME of the time. And of course placements are super expensive (anyone being on even a basic ward in a normal hospital long term is “expensive”, though not in the same league), but it’s not as though she chooses the cost or gets the money. I was separately on Tattle and aware of her content without knowing she had a thread until today, but when I saw her link I wondered if it would be a really vicious/scathing thread… it hasn’t been so far. She’s obviously seeking attention by posting but no more than a lot of influencers (or indeed any actor, performer, comedian, public speaker, presenter, or politician, who needs and seeks attention through their work, and often beyond it). I just feel incredibly bad for her.

This is exactly it. If she hadn't have posted it, people wouldn't know of it's existence. She has thousands of followers who see her content so you can bet there'll be some that come here to be unpleasant because she does sometimes get unpleasant comments on her content. She's obviously lurking reading this and if you've already got poor mental health, encouraging others to a site that can drip poison about people and even those with the strongest mental health could be seriously affected by is just bizarre to me.

Sorry, I didn’t mean she was seeking attention specifically by posting that link; I meant ALL people who post publicly seek attention/engagement. I can understand she’s responded to what she’s seen (I bet lots of perfectly well and high-profile Instagrammers etc only refrain because they have social media teams shouting DO NOT ENGAGE). It’s not wise, but, then, she’s not well, is she? She’s so unwell she’s got to have two people watch her every move, she’s not allowed her own/proper clothes. She won’t necessarily be making the best choices. But I do note that unlike on other threads, the subject of them isn’t massively vilifying or making threats against Tattle posters. Plenty of “well” influencers have done that before now…

And this thread hasn’t changed my opinion of her content. I think that calling a social media poster an attention seeker, while tempting, is kind of pointless.

Unfortunately, this is common behaviour amongst addicts. Attention seeking is very prevalent. She is angry throughout her post and then at the end the “I am sorry I am so innocent, did I do something wrong “ really grated on me, the more I thought about it. She is hoping she gets a ton of messages saying how she is not wrong and we are terrible people and it’s all so unfair.
When I started the thread, I did so because she was so interesting and there was so much to her story. And I had no one in real life to discuss an internet personality that they have never heard of, with. It wasn’t done with malice and I was just talking it out. In order to have found the thread, she must have googled herself. Which is never a good idea at the best of times.
Now I am divided on her in a way that I wasn’t before.

I think she is very desperate for normality however all her life she's never been able to get it. With her addiction issues dragging her back I feel she just about gets a good grip on life then something triggers her into a relapse. She genuinely seems heart broken when she does fall back and I do feel her issues whilst in impatient are magnified by the fact they are restricting her access to the normal world but she isn't getting the care.

As for money, I think we can all agree if we had a child in need and had the funds we would pay whatever needed to be paid for a chance at recovery. Yes it can be unfair to some one who's family can't afford it but I don't think anyone would hold back if they could afford it for their loved one.

Absolutely, although I imagine this is all state-funded, as it should be!

I think she has deactivated everything because her tiktoks have vanished and I don't even have a tiktok account so not like she can block me.

She'll be back when she gets bored - don't worry. Maybe the break from social media will do her a favour. Social media is a horrible invention imo. Every single video I watch of anything - people showing a life hack, or a moment of their life or just literally anything and people just attack them.

I saw her post which lead me here which feels a very odd choice to me. She says she doesn't want others to discuss her life but yet she leads us to the place it's being discussed...
I would hate people poking around in my life and my personal business, hence why I don't make a way for others to do so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hate me all you want, but I definitely feel some of her content glamorises being in a mental health facility. She says that isn't the intent but it definitely comes across that way to me.

Came here to say the same thing. She shared the link knowing full well it would fuel the fire!

I do have to wonder how things got so bad for her in childhood because her younger sister Heidi doesn't seem to suffer from any issues and she's married and raising children.
I don't think you can use that as anything. You hear all of these cases of abuse where the parent targets one child in particular and the others are treated normally.
