Have a read of the lyrics. They’re both songs about women that have been essentially treated as witches or who have been victimised simply for being a woman.

The way I SQUEALED when I saw that mash up this morning!!!
 
They’re saying she started a countdown with her Midnight Rain fun last night, she held up five fingers and pushed one down to show four — could just be that there are that many shows left, could be that we’re on a countdown to an announcement at the last show. Also saw a comment about how Cassandra has been performed once, mad woman twice and IDSB three times… 1, 2, 3 let’s go witch 👀

I don’t mind the drama but I’m disappointed that this is the best thing he can come up with. I know he can do better

I think it’s more he finds it funny that swifties will dunk on him and look to make everything Taylor related when she’s happy in another relationship and he’s happy in his own, rather than being bothered about a breakup.

The song is one of his favourites and was sampled in one of The 1975s songs from 2018 before it was associated with Taylor. It was a loaded post tough and he definitely knew what he was doing lol
