It’s interesting how many of us here (me included) see TTPD as one of our favourite albums, whereas from what I’ve seen online a lot of people are saying it’s the worst album on the Grammys list and shouldn’t even be nominated.

I think it proves that TTPD was for the fans - the fans get it. It’s an album that is messy and cathartic and I don’t think you would understand or appreciate that if you were a casual listener.

In terms of singles, I think MBOBHFT or But Daddy I Love Him would’ve been great but the rest have too much swearing and the filtered radio versions just don’t hit the same.

It's not one casually listeners will relate to, as it's too specific to her experience.

I always felt this album was actually for herself more than it was for fans. This is a venting album, and is shows, it's all over the place, not curated at all. It feels quite chaotic to me.

It's a great song and the bridge is out of this world, but would be an awful single - too boring for radio, just like Fortnight.

My Boy Only Breaks His Favourite Toys is such an underrated song and would have been a great summer bop.
My boy is a grower I think and an ear worm so I could see that doing well as a single.
I don’t think icdiwabh was a good single choice, it had shock factor for the fans and was catchy but I don’t think other people would have ‘got it’ and it might have been a bit too much. Also the production is a bit marmite.

Guilty as sin is one of my favourites but not sure it would have been good big or radio.

Can’t believe I said my boy is a grower and didn’t think anything of it until I read it back

Can’t believe I’ve only just found these threads. I agree with everything about the Grammy’s. What song would you think would have been the best song from TTPD to release as a single because although I like Fornight it isn’t the catchy like Espresso or Birds of a feather?
But daddy I love him, down bad or guilty as sin would have made great singles. Who's afraid or smallest man would also have made a huge impact

A mbobhft video could have been epic.

Totally agree, yes she’s used most of her albums to talk about her relationships it’s what we’ve come to love, but this one felt different than it was more just for herself at a really chaotic time professionally and personally, her therapy instead of a proper therapist, which imo she could do with as well, but I digress. There was also a warning shot fired to the more feral parasocial fans to back off thinking they can dictate her life with But daddy I love him, that I applaud every time I hear it. But I don’t think the judging panel/ voters etc will be bothered with all of that and will go for a more sonically cohesive album for AOTY.

Seriously though, had a Quick Look through their comments and they made a comment about their Manchester store

MTV EMAs are in Manchester tonight and she is nominated. They haven’t denied she is coming so I’m guessing their little marketing thing is related to that

I doubt she will be turning up to EMAs as Travis has a game and her private jet flew to KC last night
