Not really, the presidential debate was last night. Everyone will have been talking about it so what better time to endorse someone than after the debate?
Also I know Trump is a disgusting man, but surely hearing the debates is the perfect time to officially decide who to vote for? Politics is always voting the lesser of two evils, I know I didn’t know who I was even voting for even after watching all the debates in the UK until I was stood in that toll booth.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m 80% sure she only said something because people are kicking off. The timing however could easily be innocent.

I was thinking that if she was going to endorse, it would have to be after the debate last night. It was a good time to do it but also one of the last opportunities to do it without seeming like she was jumping on a bandwagon, especially after the criticism. Swifties For Harris has been raising a lot of money, so I hope she also puts her hand her pocket and also says a bit more in the run up to the election.

Exactly. Also, I know the last debate with Joe Biden was an unofficial one but it's not like she could endorse anyone after that, obviously she's not voting for Trump but it was clear from that debate that Biden wasn't fit for the job.

By posting after the debate she's able to give reasons for why she's voting the way she is and people can't say she's just doing because it's popular not to vote for Trump and other stupid things like that.

Several things can be true at the same time: it’s damage control without alienating the NFL crowd. But it’s also a good thing nevertheless, because this upcoming US election will have repercussions not just for the America, and if her endorsement can sway a few voting Swifties towards Harris, then that can only be a good thing imho.

Does this creep think he’s actually funny?! Or is he being serious I can never tell! Either way he makes me shudder.

Were people kicking off in 2016 or 2020 when she said something? The timing is because of the debate. She was always going to say something, she was just waiting for the time to make maximum impact.

They both seemed coked up at the US open, but I don’t know how to explain it lol

Highly unlikely when Travis is in season. She was probably just drunk and a lightweight

I think her statement about the Election is absolutely perfect.

A good amount of ordinary people would understandably be pissed off by being told how to vote by 'celebrities'. In fact, wasn't that part of Trump's (God help us) appeal in the 2016 election? That he wasn't part of the Hollywood set, and he understood what was good for real people (again, God help us!), whereas stoopid Hollywood types were lecturing from a place of privilege.

Taylor didn't tell her readers who they should vote for. In fact, the wording of her statement would seem to infer that the only reason she's stating who she will vote for is because her image was fraudulently used by the Trump campaign.

There's no blatant bashing of Trump in her statement, but when she says 'calm, rather than chaos', the world and its dog (and cat) know what she means. She's not insulting Trump enthusiasts, she's just stating facts. Some may be offended by her praise of Tim Walz if they are homophobic etc, but I think it's great that she gave him a decent mention.

I think this statement, and the timing of it, is the best decision she's made since ...well obviously since she sang 'Florida!!!' with Florence live at her last London show :p

I’m on your side pal, just saying I wouldn’t be surprised if this is in part to shut up the people who are mobbing her online about it atm because she seems to be getting increasingly less patient with her very vocal fans.
