It's not cancel culture. It's expecting some real accountability and change but we clearly have different standards.
It is though, as some people seem unable to let it go.

I guess for me the incredible charity work he has done since and establishing himself as a true philanthropist far outweighs any tweets he put out as a 20 year old, or using the word 'breeder.'
His genoristy both with his time and financially to help so many great organisations and charities shows him to be a good person and satisfies my standards ;)

I really hate how people scream “cancel culture” when you point out people’s actions aren’t great
Likewise, I hate how people can't let go of tweets that were put out 14+ years ago when the world was a very different place.

14 years ago I didn’t behave like this, nor did anyone else I know with a shred of decency.
And he literally punched a team mate last year and shoved and yelled at a his coach this year. He’s hardly some soft teddy bear

And it’s ok to have those standars! But if someone else's standards don’t align with yours, it doesn’t mean they’re taking part in cancel culture. People are allowed to feel however they want about any information they come across.

Two words: TAX BREAKS.

Toodaloo ☺️

Absolutely.
I just think it's a little pointless to constantly comment about tweets from 14+ years ago, especially when the person in question seems to have matured and grown so much since that.

I mean, it's not the most offensive stuff I've ever read to be honest...

I have said a few times, I don't care too much either way. If she's happy then thats great so I'm not saying this because I dislike him.. but how can you say this isn't offensive?! Anyone struggling with weight should not have to see tweets like this.

Edited for spelling 🤦‍♀️

I just think that this is a pretty tame example and if someone is SO utterly offended by this, perhaps they shouldn't be on the internet - where there is a hell of a lot worse!!

I doubt he remembered something that he tweeted 14 years ago.
I’ve certainly seen many sports stars have violent outbursts when things don’t go their way.
Fair to say it’s fine for everyone to have different standard etc but I think people can change in two years, five years, and certainly 14 years. I’m not the same person at 28 than I was at 20.

This sums it up perfectly. Holding Travis to the tweets he put out 14+ years ago is pointless

I mean in my opinion, if someone can say this on the internet for everyone to see, I hate to think of what they could actually say to someone if they think nobody else would find out.

I don't think it matters if it seems "tame", its not a nice thing to write
