At the job I left at Easter, I loved confusing parents by asking them if they knew about the spoon theory. And not to be mean, but because it was always met with a "OMFG wow" dawning realisation about their children and usually themselves, too. They've been doing spoon maths all their lives and never had it put to them in that way.

Hi nosey! Not a UK citizen sadly (I'd love to be able to move to London, how cliched is that?). Raised in both the US and Mexico most of the time, some summers in London and France , studied post high school in Germany, the UK and the US and now live in Mexico full time although I travel for work.

I definitely miss kebabs and fish and chips though!

And hey I love to have another North America dweller in the thread!!! We can keep it alive in the middle of the European night ❤️😜

Have you checked recently? Coz I can’t even get on to look as it says there’s a queue. I know that resale didn’t used to need a code but ticketmaster won’t even let me look at anything as I’m not an “invited” fan. It’s only been in the last few days that it’s done this, since the new codes came out.

Yes. Any resale will avoid the queue IF there's any there. I'm on a ticket alert bot, which is good and bad. The VAST majority of times I get an alert I click immediately and they are totally gone and I see the queues. But not always.

The idea that by getting through the day as someone chronic illness/disability/neurodiversity etc you have a certain amount of spoons which represent your energy. Once you're used to that, you're then weighing up what is priority and how many spoons it will take. If I have a shower and wash my hair, am I going to have the energy to cook dinner later. That kind of thing. Spoon maths.

Yeah I’m on that too. It sometimes takes me to the page that says what the tickets “were” but they’re never there to actually buy so I figured it was just a glitch to be honest as it goes in a different way via the bot, rather than bypassing the queue if there is a resale ticket available. Hopefully more people are still able to buy the resale tickets then. Would be frustrating if you were trying to resell one!

Not a glitch, it's just they are in someone's basket. I imagine that maybe 10 people see the listing but b only 1 gets to add it, if that makes sense. They might be back in 10 mins though.

The bot is great, really, but when I first joined it I was looking constantly one night (it was the day they gave the cut off for VIP resale) and I saw tickets myself (I was still too late to get them) that the bot didn't alert about for a good 2-3 mins.

Yeah I think they’re probably better for slightly less popular gigs! 😂 a few minutes probably doesn’t make much difference then.
