Random merail/looking for advice (putting in a spoiler)

I mentioned in the last thread that I’m due on for my show on 23rd June and I’m worried about it ruining my day as my periods are so painful even pain meds barely touch it. I’m also going away for a few days before the show so basically want that whole week to be ruined by waiting for auntie Flo to ruin something I’ve been looking forward to for ages 😂Someone (sorry I really can’t remember who) mentioned about going to the docs for the tablets that can delay your period - I’ve never used them before. Does anyone have any advice? Mainly want to know how will it affect my next period etc? Thanks in advance girls!

Thank you! My daughter is attempting to make every song title and I’m going for mostly lyric quotes and my favourite songs titles. I’m going to have trouble deciding what to trade 😂

I’ve got the loop experience and I’ll never be going back! I’ve never been one for loud noises, was scared of the hoover as a child lol. Also have some scar tissue in there from persistent paediatric ear infection, ouch.
Concerts although I love live music used to make me so anxious all around, I thought it was just because I was out the house I didn’t even consider it could have been the rustle and bustle causing it. I went to a concert a few weeks ago and used them for the first time, it was bliss. Can barely hear the crowd, the music is slightly toned down but I enjoy that because sometimes I think the speakers in stadiums/arenas are so loud it drowns out the actual quality of the performance. I also heard multiple different singers that my friends without any ear protection in could hear, and I could barely hear the screaming banshee next to use that was making my friends wince! I couldn’t recommend them enough, going to buy my partner some for our Tay show!

I have taken Noristhereone (spelling is defo wrong) before. I'll be honest, I had horrific bloating (proper moon face) and wicked mood swings but my next period was fine as usual. I do completely get not wanting to be on during the concert though. Hard decision- even with those side effects I'd probably take it again to get through the concert.

Edit to add- merch times up for Edinburgh! Wednesday and Thursday 10-8 I think. Ticket holders ONLY after 1pm on show days.

yup it was me! it's provera, a type of medroxyprogesterone. psa i'm not a dr lol but i was on them long term, they're usually what you get if you go abroad and want to swim on holiday etc. take them a few days before you're due on, and once you stop you should get your period as normal 1-3 days later. they don't always agree with everyone, that period can be heavier than usual etc but if you're willing to take that risk after speaking w the gp then i'd recommend them! just make sure you get enough for the three days before and the day of the show and you should be fine
 
How likely is it that more Liverpool tickets will be released? I have an unused Ticketmaster code for all Liverpool shows but I have no idea if that even matters. 😭

Due to the way they just bung the photo in the parcel with the CD mine has a slight crinkle at the bottom (not damaged at all just as pictured)

That being said I’ve now listed on Vinted for £200 assuming nobody is going to just snap that up 😂

Thank you so much! I’ll have a look into it. I know it sounds dramatic not wanting to be on my period for a concert but honestly days 1-3 I’m wiped out from pain and fatigue. I’ve waited 18 months 16 bloody years to see this woman and I’ll be damned if my period is going to ruin it for me 😂

there are so many times I just think ‘why are periods a thing’. I ran a marathon the *day before* my period was due and Jesus Christ that was a slog. Even more so than running a marathon is anyway 🙃😅
 
Can’t believe it’s only a week until Edinburgh! I realised earlier that the day I go is my ex boyfriend’s birthday. We met and lived together in Edinburgh and he was really emotionally abusive. Ground my self esteem down over years and when it all ended I left Edinburgh, a city I adored. It’s been a few years now but I got a bit emotional when realising that I’ll be back in Edinburgh on his birthday and seeing my favourite singer (who he used to mock me for liking) and my life is so so much better now. I really never thought I’d come this far. To top it off, I’ll be seeing the show with my wonderful boyfriend who is so loving and supportive and isn’t really into Taylor but is so excited to go just to see me happy and in my element. Sorry for the ramble! Thought it was nice to share for anyone who is going through their own struggles… life can and will get better! 💖

I’ve used them before, not sure if it whatwbas quoted above, but yeah, take it a few days before, and I think my flow was a bit heavier? But nothing I can greatly remember. It’s not dramatic at all, I’ll have months I’ll be a shivering pain mess, and I wouldn’t want to feel bloated or sick in that sort of environment
 
So apparently in their infinite wisdom Ticketmaster and AXS have switched off resale for Edinburgh. A week before the concerts?! What about if you have an emergency and can’t go?! How does that even make any sense??
