Is it insulting Travis to basically say I don't think I'd enjoy his company/ having to explain references or the importance of X monument / or the architecture style? His personality puts me off and that's not like trying to throw shade on anyone else's relationship. We all comment from our own experiences, right?

I've said actually insulting things about Travis but that one wasn't one of it 🤣 just me genuinely saying I wouldn't enjoy being in such a place with someone who couldn't keep up with me intellectually. If that makes me a snobbish bitch, so be it.

been years since i was last there, it's moved since but i'm sure there's a free bit that is mainly display bits and info about those? that could just be the shop though lol. probs wouldn't pay the £20 entry fee tbh. the tate has temp moved to the open eye gallery too which i had no idea about!
 
Listened to the Right Answers Mostly podcast about Clara Bow today and it was so interesting. It has however fully made my mind up that once the two re-records are out (and Karma if it’s real), Taylor will retire from music. I have this feeling she will and I’ll say it again, what an incredible way to go out tbh.
Clara Bow started to lose her popularity and people started to turn against her and slate her movies. She disappeared for a short time then came back and made two/three absolute hits before deciding to retire on her terms, almost like a f*** you to everyone who said she was losing her relevancy. It reminds me of Taylor’s rep era, her rising from the ashes during the pandemic and ever since. I really think she’s pointing towards saying goodbye to her old life. This theme even goes as far back as Red with The Lucky One.

Sorry to jump in- I did it a while ago and it was super busy which made me feel like it was a conga line in places. Enjoyed it as a casual fan but felt like I could have got more from it if it had been quieter.

I genuinely can’t imagine her just giving it up. She loves it too much.
She would sit down for 5 mins and be bored already
 
I think Taylor flirts with the idea of retiring, possibly sometimes the idea she can eventually walk away from it all gets her through the day however I'm not convinced she can really take that step.
She loves making music, giving her a frame for all her creative energies that she can also express in videos and clothes as well as revel in her business Type A busy side.
So the only reason to give it up would be to ditch the toxic fans and enjoy a private life. But if that were so they why all the pap walks, backgrid photos and clearly courting public attention?

She just needs to find a healthy balance between living in the basement or constantly chasing and maintaining being the World's No.1 Pop star.

agreed, there’s no reason why she can’t be more low key and just do album drops like folklore/evermore if she wanted.
Honestly I’ve been hearing “this is gonna be her last album” since red, and she just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
If she wanted to step back a bit the pandemic would’ve been the perfect time. Instead she was bored and dropped two albums.
She’s made it pretty clear over the last year or so that she didn’t like ~hiding away~. She loves the public attention and thrives off of publicity

The only way I could sort of see it as a control the narrative, her legacy sort of thing she bows out and welcomes forth the youngsters Olivia, Sabrina et al and goes on her way for a semi-public life of wife/motherhood whilst putting out albums like Folklore/evermore.

If she does decide to be a semi-public mother, I feel sorry for those kids.
It’s not healthy for kids to grow up like that.
I also just can’t imagine Taylor becoming some sort of Trad Wife, but maybe I’m wrong

This is why I side eye all the Travis is going to marry her and they will have a family just like his brothers.
I just don't see Taylor being satisfied by that sort of life and I think she must be self aware enough to know it would be a disaster.

I think Taylor needs a man who can be a stay-at-home dad type because no way is she going to ‘give up’ her career.
Either that or she’ll just get a ton of nannies
