Yup it’s Halsey! I do believe that About You is about Taylor and I can see why it worked if it is. There’s a lot of marriage imagery in that song and that’s what she was desperately seeking in her failing relationship.
 
On a slight tangent, does anyone else have a small lol every time they listen to Half Of Your Heart by John Mayer? I do hate to say it but Tay, the signs were there. She’s oooohing and ahhhing in the background while he croons about how he’s never been able to love a woman fully and is totally emotionally unavailable and half way out the door of his relationships. I know she was young but she really must have romanticised the idea that she could change him.
 
I feel like the fandom as a whole isn’t that hyped tbh. Previously she’d step out or be seen and it would be a flurry of fan theories. People would be dying for Easter eggs

now it’s a lot less hype. It seems that the only excited people are those that want to be heartbroken/relate to her new songs or those that want to know why her relationship broke down

Someone said on the little mix thread that they changed the rules so that signed stuff doesn't count towards the chart, that's probably why she won't be doing many. Unlike ME! when she was selling $3.99 CD copies for anyone that wanted one to desperately try to get no 1 (and it failed). Although IIRC she then didn't sign the me copies and instead sent a signed lover insert.

That was me! And it's only signed singles, signed albums still count, so these will count.

She has always done this though, with the signed stuff. It is why I held off on buying any because I wanted signed. I held off on 1989 and she never did it, think Speak Now and 1989 are the first two albums she hasn't done signed versions of, just before or on release week. But it wasn't a big deal, I just bought them after I was 100% nothing signed was coming.
 
I think people aren’t as excited for this new album because she hasn’t given us a chance to miss her. I have Taylor fatigue because she’s just put out too much stuff. Even my mom who is not very online and loves Taylor is tired of seeing her face all the time.
Taylor should take a note from most other pop stars and disappear for a bit.
