@icannoteven said that the vibe was better and I was two clicks away into giving it a chance but if homegirl is going to risk that much time, a movie schould be worth it. Not spending that time on a c-list vlogger.

The thing about vlogs that long is that I am not a hatewatcher. So there is no need to watch everything she puts out. Video sounds long so you either play it at double speed. Then you miss the vibe because she sounds like a muppet. Or you skip trough it, realise nothing that she does matters and stop watching. The thing with 30 minute vlogs is that that sounds like a reasonable bite of time to watch in full. Get the vibe. Be chill, destress, let my mask sink in.

The last time I really felt that she was worth watching was, I TINK, last summer. When she served a baby deep dive in the blueberry milk nail. If she could do a five minute talk about the latest nail trends like she did then, that would be worth watching. Somehow it felt like she actually cared about those nails. It did not sound scripted or waaaaay off track like shoe does in her trend forecasts.

I hope she comes back with shorter video's after fashion month.

I agree completly! I like the way the FW video's were filmed and editted, but it completly missed the mark when it came to her personality and fashion shows itself. It only shows how the fashion world and the brands don't interest her at all. She is trying so hard to show this fake persona, where she is 'so cool ' and 'so bossy to her team', it has nothing to do with fashion week. If you have access to shows and events, why is 95% of the video content of other people shooting your look, which you picked in 5 mins and doesn't have a single thought behind it. You are just another influencer, who can't form more than 2 sentences about the collection of the show, or even talk about the items in the presentation, except saying: i like the show, we saw lots of pastels and burgundy.
 
I think that that is the thing "You are just another influencer, who can't form more than 2 sentences about the collection of the show". Meanwhile there are other influencers who can and will give us more than two sentences. And they do not need an hour and 45 minutes to tell us. Nor do they give us nothing but an hour and 45 minutes of what? Emotional masturbation? How self absorbed do you need to be to have a team who works for you and sign off on so much time for people to watch you in a weekly vlog.

It is still 🤯🤯 🤯 That is longer than a movie. That is insane.
 
That’s why I patiently wait for Loïc Prigent, HauteLeMode and Heart Evangelista’s content. I became more interested in the technical, labor and the aesthetics of each collection. I might be biased with Heart, but she knows what she is talking about. She knows the history, inspiration and the stories of each collection. She’s also a top client of the brands.

But for Tetka, everything is an ego boost. Nothing more, nothing less.
 
The big secret is: every year around this time there will be a dark red trend. We’ve always had crimson/ oxblood/ vamp red/ cherry cola/ burgundy/ chocolate cherries etc as a trend. Red is a Christmas colour and dark red is an autumn colour. We have this trend every year. Tamara trying to take ownership of burgundy by saying she likes burgundy from around a month ago and making it her entire personality is like someone not in fashion saying they like white in May for summer. People wear white in the summer- it is not a trend at this point it is a given.

Yes, this! If we are talking in micro trends I love underconsumptioncore. I want to know the things that matter and another Birkin in a different colour will still be another Birkin, but now in another colour. And Tamara is not even inventive with combining it. She is wearing what everybody else is wearing.

I love Loïc too. And do you know Tanner Leatherstein? He is all about leather. Deconstructing bags and telling us how much they should be. I love him too. That is also why I love bags, the different kinds of leather. That is why decades ago I started following luxe influencers. Because they had the bags I dreamed of. Still love bags though. Still love leather. But the only leather Tamara is giving us is her skin and the same bag in a different colour.
