Tamara Kalinic #19 I got robbed, again!

1
I watched an upload today and it was a 27 min Amazon commercial. This is wild! If she wants to be more relatable to the masses, just say so in your video titles “Affordable skincare- bring the spa home to you” or some sh*t like that.

You’re welcome for the suggestion, Tammy.

fess up who did this lmao

She bought a gold kelly pochette. Which is almost the same as her gold mini kelly. Not to mention all her other gold bags. Which are in a classic color, not drab at all. She gets that bag but at what cost?

This thread started at the end of June. It is now the end of August. We are at page 13. I think she needs the hatewatchers because she is slowly slipping into oblivion. She is outdated. It was sad to see the car wreck burning out but even that got stale.

Pushing affiliate links for Amazon Castor oil is not trying to be relatable. If there is a price on influencers she is in the clearance bin. One step from being ranchid and thrown away because her best by date is somewhere in the past. Just as everything trendy she is a has been. Just as her love for logo's she belongs in the past. I wonder how her next Fashion week will be. Will she stand in the assistant row again? Or will it be just as Tamara's channel: even less than before.

I’m not a native English speaker so can someone explain to me, is it “proper” to use “sort of like” all the time as T does? When do we normally use this sentence?
"sort of like" is a commonly used phrase in written English. It is generally used to mean "similar to" or "somewhat like."

how much do you want to suck in your belly? Tamara: yes.
this is so pathetic! “ take a picture of me while I’m pretending I’m reading something on my phone , but be quick since I can’t suck in my belly longer than 10 seconds !”

Agree.. Her whole vibe of over consumption and designers is increasingly dated. The luxury industry is having a reckoning and massive changes are predicted (see articles re downfall of online retailer Matches / apparently Net-a-Porter is struggling and was for sale..same with Far Fetch).

I think she’s getting desperate (Amazon links) because some brands have stopped working with her, from what I gather. It’s very true that what she’s doing, her whole vibe, is very 2016, and believe me, it hasn’t aged well. Also, as @BaliBarbie wrote, the world of luxury is changing! The aspirational clients who were crazy about these brands 10 or 15 years ago are now in their 30s and 40s and don’t care about luxury anymore. The TikTok generation has a completely different view on luxury; they shop second-hand, not at Gucci, Prada, or Chanel. I have a couple of Chanel pieces from back in the day but I hardly think I’ll get any more anytime soon. These brands (with the exception of Chanel and Hermès who hide it really well) are already losing a lot of money because people aren’t buying their overpriced, low-quality, sweatshop-produced apparel and accessories anymore. So soon, the influencers who model and sell their junk will also become irrelevant. The Dior scandal was only the beginning. There are many articles online about the future of luxury. But Tamara continues to live in her own bubble… good for her. However, the illusion of luxury is crumbling regardless. We’ll see even more drastic changes in the next five years or so.

I do not think that the illusion of luxury is crumbling. Luxury will always be there. But I do think that Tamara has no sense of style and that is killing her. She is in the know on where to find the latest trends and buys it. It was great when there where 4 seasons and she bought big name brands.

Now we have tiktok. People have a two second time span. We are flooded with micro trends and she can not keep up with all of those. What do you do when you do not want to keep up with all the micro trends? What do you do in a world where everybody seems to be an influencer? You want a sense of style and identity. You have stick thin blondes, hysterical gays and their ally's, gloomy goths, trad wifes, wisdm. Tamara falls in what category?

I think that there is a whole sleuth of bloggers who started somewhere in the twothousands and they are still here because they love what they do, they do what they love, they live and breathe fashion. They are icons. And Tamara never made it that far.

By now you can fake everything. Buy fakes, followers, likes, comments, your face. And make it all look so pretty online. But she did it for too long. Her façade is crumbling. She is whining about not liking youtube for over a year. witch please. If you do not like it, quit. We can all see you do not love it anymore. But she can not quite quit because youtube is where the money is. She is stuck. This is a dead end. And I do not think moving-, wedding- or babycontent is going to save her. She turned top tier hermes into fast fashion. And we all know that there will always be people who want that. But we also know that fast fashion does not last.

Remember that time with the bob wig in fashion week? She should have cut a bob. She needed something fresh back then. Now even the boxes that she unboxed have more content than her.
