The great Tamara Kalinic the Haute Vulture ambassador got given the assistant seat. Was she Naomi’s +1 or did she take over Raspy’s job for him?
Ok ,just to be clear I am referring to influencers not to ordinary women. We all ended up on this thread because we are into fashion / beaut content. I got into that content over a decade ago and majority of Influencers I liked and followed / following went through many plastic surgeries. Some are not recognizable. (Tamara) What I was trying to say is that this industry is so toxic. They all sell confidence and hate all imperfections on their bodies at the same time . Yes ,thanks god we all don’t look like them ,but brands still prefer to use them for their campaigns. Teenage girls idolize them and millions of followers are a proof that their lifestyle is likable and glorified.I think some people forget about the all mighty algorithm. If you follow procedure heavy and Birkin wearing influencers, your recommendations will be the same. Want to see what real women look like, go outside and look at them. Not at the women you see on social media.
I know people who own birkins and kelly's. They treat them as a bag. They do not look picture perfect anymore. The leather is soft and the bags are loved. They do not look pristine anymore. That is because the people I know do not wear those bags as a status symbol. There is no need to showcase their bags because that is what their audience wants. They are normal people who treat their bags as a bag.
I think that some people are online too much. They forget that it's an echo chamber. Suddenly the birkins are attainable and the Kardashians look normal. I get it when @spicymargarita said that this is too plastic. For most of us there is a difference between what we see online and offline. But I also get it when people are online too much and the line gets blurry. And even if the line is not blurry, I get why she mentions it here. This is an online spot to talk about the things we see online.
I got that you where talking about influencers. Part of my reply was to @lunalunaluna (who replied to you) and part of it was to myself and other people reading here.Ok ,just to be clear I am referring to influencers not to ordinary women.
