You might be right, Zorannah at least doesn’t pay for renting the flat and it is quite possible that after paying Palais-Royal apartment and similar locations, Tamara in the end gets less money to spend. But i wouldn’t see who would pay Zorannah, considering that she is probably the only person with less content than Tamara on her social media platforms 🤓 Too bad they don’t hang out anymore, they were a match made in heaven (or hell)

I'll just leave this here, pure class. Could not understand most of it, but by the time they started to blab random French words (and inevitably voulez vous coucher avec moi) it became completely worth it. I even think our Dirty Tetka even said merde at some point, didn't feel like rewinding.

Ok, now I am starting to feel a bit sorry for Rasputin with all of those pictures 😅. Knowing how much my boyfriend doesn't like taking pictures, I cannot imagine how Rasputin feels like with those cheesy staged pictures 😃. On the other hand he is working in the fashUn industry, so it shouldn't be anything new for him :LOL:.

Plus 1 to this. I love the Kelly Retourne. It's effortless and practical. Mine is not sloppy or in bad shape like hers because mine is real not because it's a Retourne. They are still super desirable and well crafted so I think the original OP is just wrong.

Now something that's accurate and interesting about that bag: she bought a 32 and is trying to lie and say she loves it when she just said a few months ago she only wanted 25s.

To be honest, checking the box isn’t that dumb. I was working in the hq of a luxury parisian brand and out call center was getting a lot of complains from clients that came home and found out that the strap was missing or that a different bag was in the box 🤷🏼‍♀️ Idk how that happens but apparently it does and if he has previously worked as an SA he is used to this type of mistakes.
I’m ashamed that I’m defending FT. If you ask me the bag is a fake but the cover up story isn’t that dumb

I might be totally wrong in whats actually desired in store as I do not have a Hermes anywhere near me and I'm basing my opinions off of research that was done completely on the internet which tends to be biased. The retourne are beautiful bags, from my understanding they are just priced cheaper because they are slightly less sought after due to the bags not holding shape as easily as the sellier, and requiring more care to maintain their shape. I have also read that the construction of the bag itself takes slightly less time with the retourne.

Via Madison Avenue Couture website, " Visually, the Sellier has a more structured look, with many people saying this is the more formal handbag of the two. Because of its craftsmanship, the Kelly Sellier has a higher cost than the Retourne."

The cheapest place to buy a Kelly or Birkin in the world is Paris. Not only because of the retail price (conversion, taxes etc) but CRUCIALLY, you are able to buy a popular bag from Hermes without a purchase history (or a very limited one). Whereas in Asia or Canada where there are a lot of demand but a lot less stock, most customers actually have to spend 1:1 before getting offered a kelly/birkin. For popular sizes (kelly/birkin 25 or mini kelly) and popular colors (neutral, pink, gold hardware) the ratio goes up (sometimes even 3:1) so you have to spend 10k purchase history (in competitive countries this is also excluding leather goods) and then you can have a chance to be offered to buy a regular leather birkin/kelly of about 10k. If you want exotic Ieathers (rare bags) you have to spend more. This is common knowledge for people who enjoy Hermes! And there many people who happily do this as they enjoy the brand!

For others who are not interested in building up a purchase history and want the bag quick / only want a specific colour/ style, many people turn to the secondhand market - because of the prohibitive purchase history / pre spending required. And you have no guarantee of being offered the bag you want!

So this is why resale prices are x2 of retail price because in store you actually have to spend that amount.

I think in Paris it was the best time for Tamara to get her bags and it was believable that she got them. But outside Paris it becomes harder. Also you see that she tries to build her purchase history (random houseware and swimsuit but this is nothing compared to rich Hermes regulars) but it’s getting hard for her to get offered the popular bags. So she’s now settling for bigger sizes and less unpopular colours (blue and green).

You are correct about the cost, but that is only due to craftworker hours. Some of Hermes least popular bags are the most expensive (and remember most birkins are Retourne and they still remain super hot). I think you might be wrong on wear and tear. Wear on Sellier swift and other smooth leathers is crazy bad and you absolutely must store it correctly to prevent sag which will look out of place on such. While an Epsom sellier will hold it's shape it's scratches don't buff out and the leather can appear more beat up than it's Togo, Evercolor, or clemence retourne cousins do.

Ah ok that makes sense thank you for letting me know! Do we know what kind of leather Tamara's is, is it feasible for her to have that much misshaping after owning it for only a month depending on the kind of leather?
