Iv not been on this thread for months! But if the ‘nurse’ is one that’s funded through direct payments/PHB then they may well have sleepovers/waking nights in the budget for her to stay over but yes it would definitley be for Oakleys care and not babysitting other kids! (I do payroll for people in receipt of PHB and DP)
 
I’ve never known anyone get so many hours for a child even via direct payments. I’m all for other parents of child with send to get respite but I bet there’s lots of families in Talia’s local area who are crying out for help and aren’t getting any and then there’s Talia who is off to PT, the salon, hot yoga, shopping etc without a care in the world.

Oh 100% agree. I see referrals come through for all different ranges of needs from 5 hours per week to 24/7 care. The ones who are milking it are quite obvious too, then you have people who genuinely need more hours and wait years for reassessments
