You're missing the point- it's not just about that she isn't his type.

It's the fact that Sammy went around announcing it, saying that he wasn't attracted to Jess physically, was more into Mal in 3 days than he was Jess, and acted as though because he gave her the time of day when she isn't his type, she should be grateful for his attention. Yes, anyone can date someone who isn't their stereotypical type and still find them attractive and be in a happy relationship - I'm doing that right now - but I don't need to continually remind my partner and everyone I come into contact with and act as though I'd done them a favour.

I agree people don't need to keep commenting on her social media about it, but I would say her self-esteem mustn't be that great already if she knew those things and stayed with him.

spot on. and it’s not even just the way he’s treated jess. the way he treated catherine, leah and amber too. and the fact he’s so far up his own ass he can’t see how he’s wrong and just gives out crappy apologies. how you see a guy do that and still want him after the way he’s treated you too is insane

That explains her naivety then. I’m sure if a guy was like that with one of the older girls they would kick him to the curb and moved on to someone who was actually interested in her
