It is exploitation - even worse because these people are clearly minors, falling hook, line and sinker for her manipulation.

No mention of Bobby here either. It's as if Dianne is dancing alone and only she matters.

She's just coming across as egotistical and greedy to me. If she was really that worried about her dad she would have flown out to see him. She didn't. That speaks volumes about her character.

Not to be that person but she did go and see him over christmas, left the day after the final and flew back first week of January straight into rehearsals and tour.

She is very questionable but let's not call her things and say she didn't go home when she did.

Tbf, she did. She went to Australia for Christmas.

I still don't like her using his illness to win votes - that leaves a bad taste in my mouth, especially when kids are going along with it.

Yeah, it's one thing saying it once or twice but repeatedly every show doesn't look great.
It does come across like bobby isnt even there is it that difficult to praise your partner without changing the subject

I do wonder if backstage they grow tired of hearing the same story everyday?

Okay she did see him at Christmas she's not chained to the tour.

If she didn't want the money and glory she could be with him helping look after him if she was as concerned about his wellbeing as she makes out. But she's making out like she's so concerned with his wellbeing but won't look after him. It doesn't add up. There is no issue with her choosing to work but it's the false concern narrative she's using.

I think most people who choose to go make money instead of looking after an sick parent would then also not go on to then use them to further their career. They keep quite.

I find it hard to accept that Ellie just doesn't fancy him when I see some of these shots. And if she does, even if he's not available, or they've decided to be friends, I do not know how she is fine with all the touching/hugging/caressing (which you can still see in tour videos). I would have to distance myself, especially if I were 22. She has a fanny of steel! (though he's just got a terrible haircut looking at last night's pics, so that may help).

But Bobby wearing Ellie's ('not one of life's natural scarf-wearers') scarf certainly looks like something is going on. They're certainly not playing it down:

Have you seen any of the tour videos of when they do the glitter ball bit with Ellie & Vito? Arms all around each other, him rubbing her arms.
No way is nothing happening. I think this Bobby thing is utter bollocks

Yeah but they were like that all during the show, and the Strictly source is adamant nothing is going on. So it's just Vito being his usual tactile self and Ellie with her steel fanny enjoying it but quite happy not to pursue anything and to spend all her time with the Consciousness of the Thoughts of Bobby!

Aside from everything else - doesn't seeing the same tour over and over just get bleeping boring for these folks? How much of Anton's jokes can one take?

To be fair to Diane <braces self> her dad does seem extremely proud of her and her Strictly doings. Maybe he wants her to be doing Her job and is enjoying following her and they had the discussion and she’s actually doing what he wants. One of the good things about the internet and social media is that it’s so much easier to stay in touch … mum’s friend in the 1970’s had a brother who emigrated to Australia and it was a phone call in the middle of the Night once a flood and airmail letters.

I don’t buy the Ellie Bobby romance. It’s either all a smokescreen to distract from something else 🍆, made up by the press as they are the only 2 single young ones on tour or she is using Bobby to relieve her fanny of steel from all the built up Vito frustration. In the meantime I think Bobby is just living his life and happy to get a jump from wherever.
