I'm baffled by Kelvin being one of the few winners to also win the tour, and by him winning so many tour dates. Absolutely baffled. To me he's the most boring, forgettable winner of the 7 years I've watched. I forget he exists frequently. And then am baffled all over again when I remember that he won the show and dominated the tour even more than Rose did! How? Just. How? 😂

Kelvin had very little competition - nobody seemed to like Karim and the rest that year were average at best. 2019 was my least favourite Strictly ever.

I voted for him purely for Oti to get a win. Wouldn't have applied to the tour though.

Funny, I always remember him as being seriously popular. His only challenger in the popularity steaks was Chris Ramsey. I reckon he'd have won a few tour dates had he'd have done it.

On second thought, I wonder who would have won 2019 if Kelvin didn't come in. Wouldn't have been Jamie Laing surely? Chris Ramsey or Emma would have been Chris Hollins 2.0, and I'm eternally grateful Anton didn't win that year, he'd have gotten more smug.

Might not like Kelvin but he kinda saved that series.

I did have a look on wikipedia and was pleasantly surprised that Karim was the runner up almost every time. I pretty much only saw negative comments about him during the show, so I'm glad he was at least popular enough for that.

When I saw the tour that year I was surrounded by lots of drooling ladies of a certain age saying "he's gorgeous" about Kelvin, so I can understand how he cleaned up on tour.
I don't find him attractive at all, his mouth looks like it's on upside down. Like the kid in Family Guy with the upside down face 😆

Yeah, I can see how widespread sentiment that she was robbed with Danny helped get Kelvin the glitterball.

I hope that doesn't translate to Nikita winning with someone as boring and mediocre as Kelvin though! I want him to get a glitterball, but with someone like Ellie.

It is hard to think of who would have won that year if not Kelvin. Other than ringer Karim who obviously stood no chance, no one else really stands out as particularly memorable. Chris was popular, but didn't really improve enough to justify a win. I guess it probably would have been Emma & Anton, who I also would have found to be boring and forgettable winners.

That's the bit I definitely didn't get - I can think of at least 3, arguably 5/6 male celebs that year who were better looking than him. Muscles don't automatically equal eye candy IMO.

Hopefully a Ellie or a Rose for Nikita to win with in the next few years, I'd be happy enough with a Caroline type as well. Would be gutted if he won with Stacey Dooley 2.0. After having Layton, that would be such a hollow win.

backstage romance - been my kryptonite since I first saw it. my fave lads, one of my favourite films, one of my favourite dances and a bunch of my favourite songs? YASSS! 🥵

barbie - absolutely love the film. and you remember how cute gorka was being ken? nikita outshines him so damn much. our boy has understood the assignment. the noise I let out when he shrugged off the coat actually got me funny looks from my fellow audience 🫣! you don't even miss the thrusting cos the scenery just isn't there
