Nikita’s terrible hair is almost enough to distract from Vito’s arms. Almost. (On a par with Nikita’s habitually terrible fashions)

ETA: according to the S*n, the bombshell evidence is a piece of audio recorded by the BBC in which she apologises to him for being a nightmare and says she can be hard to work with. Hardly proof that he didn't do anything, unless there's nothing at all on any of the tapes about him.
Why has Vito put his can (of drink) in between his legs? That camera angle makes Vitos arm look as big as Chris Hemsworth’s peak Thor.

To me that evidence Gio supposedly has makes me believe Amanda more, as people who are a real nightmare rarely apologise or admit it, it is normally the person who is trying to pacify a situation that says something like that. Trying to find a way to make a situation better.
---

The nightmare is nearly finally going to be over for him. Then he will only have to deal with those moaning that BBC have "let him off" to try and take some heat off the show.
I think there is evidence of Gio behaving badly but if there is this audio as well - then perhaps the evidence appears as 1/2 dozen of one and 1/2 dozen of the other. Why it is taking them a while to come to the conclusion.
Having been in a situation where I was bullied by a colleague, leading to me losing my sh!t with them and then apologising to them, I get why Amanda did apologise.

So because we know one thing that's been said in a 6 and a half minute video that means all the fault is on Amanda? Notice how we haven't got any specifics about anything Gio has said or done? It's because he won't release them and there has to be a reason for that. It's because he knows how he will come across to people.

He's kept a dignified silence during this whole mess by staying away from TV and newspaper interviews, which is what Amanda should have done whilst the investigation was still on going. It's not a good look that she mentioned things in the Channel 4 interview that she hadn't mentioned to the BBC.

Piers has done a good write up.

I quite like Nikita’s hair here 🙈😅 what is going on with Diannes though?! Either stick to red or dye it back brown! The weird hybrid is not the one!

Also a tactic that lots of abusers use now is pressing buttons until their victim reacts and then recording it as evidence they are the unreasonable one. How funny that he has blocked the release of all that footage and has suddenly found this 🤔
Well, according to the Sun it is BBC footage, so it will never see the light of day, unless he somehow leaks it. So I guess he can claim whatever he likes about it. So maybe he's awful in it, then she apologizes, for example.

Again nobody has the full story but I personally will apologise etc to keep the peace, not bring drama as I hate even minor conflict. Even now I sometimes stay quiet and do as expected even though I want to speak out so this does not make anything any clearer. Both Gio and Amanda are not going to back down the BBC maybe forced into a corner here.

He also won't release the tapes he has, why do you think that is? She was getting threats against herself and her children. Are you telling me that if you got death threats against you children because you spoke out about how someone treated you, you'd keep quiet? I wouldn't, I'd be letting everyone know exactly how that person treated me and why I had to do something about it.

As said on here Krishnan is a well respected journalist, he was on Strictly at the same time, he also thinks the world of Lauren, who has been Gio’s leading lady for what 3 years or more. If he thought this was all complete lies, wouldn’t he have said to channel 4, I don’t think the interview is a good idea?

Did you read the article? There is no “bombshell recording” and certainly nothing that excuses Gio’s behaviour.

Ah yes, Piers Morgan that beacon of integrity and respect. He’s made Gio sound like a prince here.

Just to add 'do as expected ' I would speak up for others just not myself.

I think with journalists a scoop is a scoop tbh Posy
Even if for any reason Krishnan did feel any kind of way (in the sense of Lauren is his friend and her friend is Gio or will it come across as complete lies) Amanda wanting to talk to him on camera he'll put all of that to one side and just let her roll for better or worse as opposed to saying to channel 4 bosses i don't think it's a good idea, let's not.

It's like Emily Matlis said a good journalists has to just remain impartial, ask the questions and the rest is down to them .

Just as I would expect lots of women who were treated appallingly by a man in a position of power over them may do.

Exactly. And trying to appease to keep the peace is extremely common!

Doesn't mean that he wasn't terrible to her (she said jnt the C4 interview that he'd have moments of being normal, but that it did not last and eventually the situation was unbearable)

I like Emily Maitlis but I don’t see her as an impartial journalist, there are very few these days. Most journalists have hidden agendas.

But the thing is he definitely wasn’t impartial, though. He was sympathetic, he brought up the sexual humiliation, he said they all knew she was having a bad time. He put himself in the story which a journalist shouldn’t do.

Yes, it’s a scoop but it’s also a risk: if the footage comes out showing Amanda is a liar or the BBC clears Giovanni completely, he’s left with egg on his face (the Mail has already had a go at him, saying everyone in his workplace is mocking him).
And he ended by posting a pic of him with his arm round Amanda - hardly Maitlis v Prince Andrew.
I see the Mail are also spinning that Amanda being the only official complainer is also good for Gio: that either the other women didn’t complain in the end or the BBC dismissed it. But if they have this bombshell evidence and no evidence in favour of A why in earth has it taken so long?

Story with Amandas mum and dad in the mail today (it's a M+ story if anyone has access?) Mail look to have twisted the headline as per usual
