I will admit I do have a soft spot for the more self-deprecating couples who can laugh at mistakes. This is the way it should be - I suppose I'm more Nailed It than Masterchef but I'd rather see someone giggling at an error than crying like the family dog was just shot.

I really like these two. I thought it at the launch show and I think that seeing it now: he is not a total duffer and has some moves. Hope they stick around a bit so we can get to know them better.

Remember last year when the pre-Strictly expectation was that Matt would be a dick and Will would be Mr Cool? I wonder if the bizarro switch-up this year will be that Adam is a sweetie and Bobby’s a knob?

Remember last year when the pre-Strictly expectation was that Matt would be a dick and Will would be Mr Cool? I wonder if the bizarro switch-up this year will be that Adam is a sweetie and Bobby’s a knob?

Aw, Mattt was so lovely. Based on what I was hearing about him, I was fully expecting him to actually withdraw because hed be too much of a knob to handle even a shred if criticism. But he got hammered by the judges each week and took it completely graciously; had a physical disability that affected his posture and footwork, but that he never once mentioned; and delivered a genuinely touching exit speech. He also seemed a genuine gentleman.

I absolutely adored Matt!

It still amuses me that my pre-series preconceptions last year were that Jayde would be awesome (I believe I may have bandied the term ‘potential finalist’ about at one point) and Matt would be an arrogant narcissist. I was so very very very wrong

I also had high hopes for Jayde last year...how naive we were!!

Matt shone on It Takes Two for me, he was much more relaxed on there. I think something about the live shows overwhelmed him, and perhaps Rylan's style of interviewing worked better for him than Tess/Claudia.

I’m going to miss Rylan. He actually listens to the answers and lets the interview flow rather than just ploughing ahead with the questions on the card. I think only him or Claudia could have done the AJ pulling out the final interview

He could handle the exit interviews, coax the more introverted and always seem to strike the right balance. Think he’ll be sorely missed.

I remember him gazing at Tony Adams with sheer reverence in the Clauditorium on the first week - so sweet, he was obviously completely starstruck

Adam has captured Luba’s heart for definite. ( not like that!), so he does seem to be a good guy really.
