I hope so. Vito was a judge on Drag Race Italia so we know this is in his wheelhouse, and obv Nikita is on board, but sadly both will be on duffer duty next year probably - shame as they are without doubt the two best male choreographers/partners. If we exclude Johannes and Gio as having already had male partners, probably the best remaining option is Graz? maybe not the strongest choreographer but would have a ball and it would give him a chance to shine.

Graz is a sweetie who always gives his all to his partner whatever their ability - I think he'd be good for this too.

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't get outright duffers, more likely middlers or contenders. It's a tv show and the TPTB don't need to be fair they know they need a handful of Pros each year that are top tier teachers and choreographers to keep the show fun and interesting.
This will be especially true if they loose some of their seasoned Pros like Gio next year.

I think they would. I can remember so many of Katyas dances with her duffers as she is so creative. Vito has had 2 contenders get to the final but I can’t see him doing a Gio and having no interest as he appears to be very compassionate. I think you could argue that Ellie Simmonds could have been a duffer and Nikita had to be very creative so I know he would rise to the challenge.
 
Difference between Gio & Vito is that it took ages for Gio to win. If Vito gets it on his second try, then inevitably he gets the usual post win dud, He might still get some good ones in future but I don’t fancy his chances next year.

Nikita? Maybe could get another good one. Might be interesting to see him with an Ellie T type who isn’t great but brings fun to the proceedings. Just don’t want him to be stuck with next year’s Loose Women star all but guaranteed to leave by movie week.
 
I know we haven't had the final yet but who do we think for potential contestants next year?

Could the papers be right about Jeff Brazier? The show would absolutely love a "father and son" storyline...and we might get the Postcode Lottery showdance 😂

Who else? Stacey Solomon, maybe? Now she's doing knock off Marie Kondo?

That Fred whatshisface seems to be doing the reality show rounds.

And it's time for another Call the Midwifer, surely?

Chances are he will get a dud next year expecially if he wins. Or he could be like Oti and win all the time.

Edit- I thought Oti won it more than twice!

Or Kevin … like I say in 7 years Kevin only didn’t compete in 3 shows after Susan Calman was sent home … Pasha went Chelsea, Kimberley, Rachel, Caroline but Aljaz whent straight from Abbey Clancy to Alison Hammond. The pairing elves are a law 7nto themselves 😀

Oti should have had three, cough cough, Danny Mac. TBH I try to erase Kelvin and his Sex Face from my memory so for me she had two winners, Danny and Bill!

re: Carlos, I love him and he is delightful, he and Angela clearly struck up a great relationship, but *whisper* some of his choreo was a bit disappointing. The CCC was very perfunctory compared to Ellie's, and was it the VW where they just gave up and ran around at the end? I think he could do well with a nice fun duffer next year.

I think the only one really overdue for a contender is Graz.

Also, Kai is due a younger contender.

Even Carlos has done really well in his first two years, and I think will most likely get a duffer next year.

Also, while Johannes has had two consecutive long runs, getting much further than expected, it would be nice for him to get fun ringer next year, I think.

Gio just needs to bow out now.
 
I'm going to miss this thread being so active once the final is over! I've not been able to comment so much - I can't keep up with you all - but it's been so lovely to read!

I'm not over Nigel's exit and would have loved him to win. Katya has taken the crown as my top female pro this year, she is an absolute goddess. I'm now team Ellie and I hope she wins!

Nikita will always have a special place in my heart. I watched Strictly for the first time shortly after I was diagnosed with type 1. I was in a real hole with it and seeing another type 1 absolutely smashing it as a dancer gave me a lot of hope.

Jojo...need I say any more. I adore that man.

I LOVED Krishnan - I'm a journo that used to side hustle as a dancer so we now have both things in common. I can't wait to see him dance again in the group number!

Dianne can get in the bin, she's tedious, and I wonder whether we'll get any more goss on what went down with Amanda?!

That's because Aljaž won with Abbey though - if he had lost with her, he'd have probably got Pixie the following year.
 
Seeing Layton and Nikita on ITT yesterday made my day, they're so adorable together and I loved how much Nikita kept grabbing his hand with excitement, they're just two amazing people who now have a beautiful friendship ❤️

Me too - I had a baby 7 months ago and dealing with difficult evenings and sleepless nights has been so much easier since I started watching Strictly and reading here, especially seeing Layton and Nikita's friendship blossom. It's honestly kept me sane and brought me joy and warmth at an exhausting time!

Series 18 has a special place in my heart not least because my husband had no choice but to watch it with me. We actually both loved the bizarreness (I think that is a word) of Bill being by know means the best dancer but being unexpectedly really quite good. It was such a joy to have any version of Strictly during those months.
