i’ve forgotten to join on the thread live this season. I’m curious to know what people make of Layton and the fact he’s a trained dancer.
I haven’t seen too much backlash about that on twitter?

I’ve actually loved Layton for years, I saw him in Billy Elliot in London when he was the first black Billy - he was wonderful then and in Beautiful People and Bad Education and I’ve met him quite a few times including when he was in Matthew Bourne. He is really really lovely and I’m so pleased to see him do well and be on this - especially thrilled for him being with Nikita who I adore.

I didn't think Layton was that bad? If I heard the judges' comments without seeing the dance, I'd have expected it to be much worse than it actually was.

I wonder if they were being harsh because of the 9s last week.

I think that he hasn’t really slowed down. I thought he was rushing through the dance rather than gliding through it .

personally i couldn’t care less. we have trained dancers every year and i absolutely love watching them. nikita is the perfect partner for him and can’t see them not going all the way to the finals tbh.

Did I pick it up right in the Claudatorium that Nikita has been giving Layton the correct direction on technique and he has disregarded it? He said 'you were right soz' and it seemed like that's what had been discussed but I had missed part of it doing a pringle run to the kitchen
