I would be buzzing to see Andy Murray on Strictly. Or should I say:

I would love Andy Murray on it! He has a great deadpan sardonic humour. I think there's zero chance, sadly, especially as he's had a hip replacement...


That Aaron who owns Gola posted this - I saw it on one of the Rose/Gio FB groups. I don't think they realise it's a crass joke: 'fica' means 'pussy' in Italian. Gross.

At this point we’re just going to have to release a Strictly line at Schuh. How much choice can a couple choose if a couple chooses couple’s choice.

I want to go back and watch the dance with all the celebs again after reading it. 😁
 
I ADORE Andy Murray, but given that it took ten strong men to manhandle him into the studio & gaffer tape him to a chair to sit through even one of his mum’s performances on Strictly, I think the chances of him doing it are extremely slim.

Plus how would he live up to the giddy dance heights of Andrew Castle, Dan Lobb, Martina Hingis and, indeed, his own dear mum? The tennis fraternity have certainly set a high bar! 🤣

He was usually very relaxed too on ITT with Rylan, and came across well on it. I liked Matt.
And I'm glad he was partnered with Nadiya who seems to be a gentle soul like him.

I'm also glad they didn't have him in the godawful white trousers for the final dance. 😁

Kaye's post-final post popped up for me: I found it really interesting. There is such a big 'journey' narrative around SCD, especially for women (look at the 'Helen gets her groove back' stuff) but what happens if it makes you feel worse? if you get the boot early, and feel like an aged failure.
I am really glad doing the final helped her get closure and feel good, and it is nice that she thanks Kai, who seems to have been a true gent.
If it's any comfort to Kaye, she wasn't a great dancer, but she looked fantastic, conducted herself with dignity, and took her exit with grace. Others could learn from her!

That is very interesting, what Kaye said.

It must be so nervewracking going so far out of your comfort zone, and while you know someone has to be the first out, and indeed at the time Kaye seemed to expect it, I hadn't really thought any more about how it might affect her. Great attitude and very well said.

It was great seeing her back for the final, I'm delighted that she was partnered with Kai, and I know I said it before but I envy her legs! 😁

Couldn’t agree more with people not getting him. He’s so funny and does so much to promote equality in sport and has donated all his prize money this year towards Ukraine. Proper good egg. His hips are 99% metal now however and that’s before you factor in his mother’s genes 😬😂

I heard Dean Mac on the radio saying he loves the show, he could be a possibility? He was also saying that he was pissed off because Rylans story revealed the winner when he was at westlife! He was sitting really close to me at westlife too! What a tangled web we weave.
