He only has to hold on for two more weeks so hopefully he will be ok 🤣 Will probably have VW for his other dance which is not as hard on the knees. Any other dance reveals I missed the show?

Some of the ballroom dances can be quite tough on the knees in different ways- turning and position. My friend is a sports physio and said that AJ’s ankle injury wasn’t helped by the quickstep and rumba movements being rough on the joints in really different ways.

Question: are the pro dances pre recorded or are they danced “live” during the show?
( I know the result shows are pre recorded but are they live when they are supposed to be live… I hope that makes sense lol)
I do feel like a dick jumping in and saying “when I was there…” and it’s probs been answered but when I was there, it was recorded after the live show - we were surprised because it was still quite early in the competition and the pros still in got changed out their costumes to do the group number and then back again.

But that was a few years ago and I think they pre/record them before the series starts now

Helen & Gorka - Tango/ Waltz / Rumba / Argentine Tango

That's a bit of a grim set of dances to choose from for a semi-final, I feel, no peppy cheerful Latin/CC/Charleston to contrast against a romantic ballroom or moody tango.

I'm presuming it'll be Waltz plus something else, but Rumba is so low-energy, and never goes down very well with the voting public. Plus Argentine Tango can be a show-stealer, but only if it's done well, by a person who can throw themselves into it with sexy abandon, and is Helen that person?

Wills gonna win, I can feel it in my waters. How he manages to get out the DO each week baffles me!
I can’t think of much worse than him winning…but I don’t think he will. He’ll definitely be a finalist but there have been couples before with a clear run to the final with no dance offs.

He had lower scores in the earlier weeks and after his dynamic first dance, people maybe wanted to save him. Lately he’s been overmarked receiving higher scores and he won’t really need that many votes.

Oh god, I’m trying to convince myself now 😩

This is bleeping ridiculous

Rose had both waltz & argentine tango last year and it worked well for her. I think Helen has shown this week that her confidence/performance has definitely grown but argentine tango needs to be very sensual and sultry which is totally different to this week. I was worried about how her couples choice would go and I was wrong so hopefully the same again if she does end up with argentine tango.

That’s a cracking Charleston. Did they become a couple?

Yes, they were a couple from a few weeks in, and it was referenced by the judges and Tess I remember. I was surprised watching that series back on YouTube that Len said after their Quickstep something like "you weren’t close enough together, which is strange given what I've read in the papers this week" Nowadays it's like 'curse? What curse? There's nothing to see here' 😁
