If Shirley leaves the top of my wish list for a new head judge is Loraine Barry from the Irish version, she's got the background and knows the format gives clear constructive criticism yet is always respectful and never lusts in the way Arlean and Shirley have done to the males.
I think with Anton being a judge they are unlikely to add another ex-pro.

The Barry's are dance legends, too.

I do like a bit of Ancient Strictly Footage though, especially seeing the earliest season with Natasha Kerplunkski where the camera isn't in HD yet and the set is so cramped and cheap that Bruno can't fling his hands about to emphasise his point without taking out a column or curtain.

Also, always good to see Jake Wood doing that lunatic salsa with Janette, I remember spilling my tea down my front in pure shock watching that. And I will always recall some besotted soul on DS or another forum calling Janette "An infinitely lovely Succubus with no solid spine", which is a description that's stayed with me over the years.

I am shooketh that there aren’t an abundance of clips on You Tube but my trip down memory lane takes us to 2009, the first year I watched Strictly. Craig ‘I just wanna get t’Blackpool’ Kelly got to Blackpool and danced to one of my favourite songs of all time, Easy Lover by Phil Collins and Phil Bailey.

Alas, his Strictly journey (and the patience of the viewers) came to an abrupt end that night but every time Blackpool is mentioned, under any circumstances, impressions of Craig ring out
