I don’t think they did a very good job on the physicals this year 😬

Can’t say I’m too bothered. Ugo is very mediocre & I've not really warmed to him.. I also can’t stand AJ but she can dance really well. She’s just so loud & OTT. It jarrs with me. I couldn’t find Kai less attractive if I tried but nice chap. I’ll never get over him being 26. He looks way older than my 35 year old husband 😂

Sucks that Ugo has to sit out - hope he is OK.

Two contestants in 24 hours pulling out of this weekend/the series due to pre existing issues flaring up, makes me curious about the medicals needed for people to do the show. One of the biggest failures of DOI last year was that not enough contestants were physically up to the demands of the skating and being pushed too hard led to more injuries. Hope the same isn't true here.

Yes, I hope he's back next week, but I'm starting to think the Strictly physicals/screening processes aren't really up to the job. If you have a history of back problems, then surely intensive dance training might make them flare up again?

This is the bigger issue not the pre show medical. There’s so many retired sports people who do the show that have some sort of issue because of either an old injury or just their careers catching up with them. Most in the past have gone on fairly fine it’s the external couples choice choreographers that seem to be an issue because he was due to do a Viennese which I don’t think would’ve been hard going compared to some. So I think he was desperate to do the moana dance for his kids he didn’t want to let them down.

It is really weird. Rose is filming, hiding presumably to scare Giovanni and Kai who walk into the studio - the captions pick up Gio saying 'where is this stupid cow?' and she screams 'argh'. Kai looks uncomfortable and G looks pissed off. I don't know if it is one of their weird performance art IGs they've been doing, but it was deleted almost immediately.
Maybe one of his fans downloaded it though. V. odd and uncomfortable.
