So glad Rose won, been voting for her the whole time (even made an extra account to vote twice because I was nervous 😂). I did feel a little bad for John as him and johannes were just moved apart and kind of forgotten about. I was kind of Rose and Gio to mention them when they were speaking or at least look over at them but I guess they were caught up in the moment. Would’ve been nice if they could’ve hugged, it’s not like they’re in bubbles since the rest of the cast just did a big group dance together.

I would like to have seen this too, all they had to do is announce the bubbling situation. John and Johannes are both so lovely and would have been right in there with a hug anyway.

And similarly Rose if she wasn’t deaf, would she be in the final.

I think Rose was one of the best dancers of the series regardless of her disability and I actually think John might have been better with another partner… I wasn’t too impressed with Johannes‘ choreo I’m the whole and feel like he over dances too much (love him just prefer him in the pro dances)
 
Giovanni finally winning the glitter ball after getting to all these finals, I’m honestly delighted for him. I know it’s about the celeb and I’ll talk about Rose after but he has impressed me on new levels this year. He’s had to change everything he knows about teaching and I think he’s learnt just as much from Rose in return. A truly perfect partnership.

Rose is just such a wonderful young woman, a true role model and she is inspirational and when the cast got announced I was hopeful that they wouldn’t make her being deaf the main thing as I always felt if she didn’t think she could do it, she wouldn’t of gone on it and she simply wasn’t there to tick a quota. Her journey has been wonderful, she’s thoroughly deserved this and it was Rose and Gio along with AJ and Kai that I felt that connection with if that makes sense? I know I’m about to say she’s deaf but it really is incredible that she can’t hear and she’s performed how she is. What a win for Rose and Gio.

Edited to add: John really upped his game in the last few weeks and I certainly warmed to him. Tonight, I thought he actually had the better final and had it been based on the final alone - he would have won. A brilliant dancer, he was very impressive tonight and how wonderful for all those young people to see a same sex couple. Pleased that they have been such a success - i’m sure the BBC are too haha

I'm glad Rose won but I'm sure they normally speak to the runner up? All that boring filler, they could have spent longer on the end of the show and actually had Gio and Rose mention J&J.

I would've preferred a runner-up talk too instead of that filler snoozefest, though seeing Alexandra Burke amidst the filler painted a wistful smile on my face in recollection of her series (and the public wrath she endured).
