Neil & Dianne's dances together have all been awful - even cringey. They keep putting the two naff redheads together and I really wouldn't mind seeing them both benched next year.

I don't think they'll ever bench Dianne - she doesn't have an amazing record, but she gets the show a lot of engagement on social media (not that this necessarily converts into viewing figures of votes for her, bit I think it's something they like all the same). She's one of the pros I want to like because I'm sure she's a nice person, but every time she's on ITT or a VT, I just end up cringing

I think it's more likely Neil might be benched in the future unless they just give him Jacqui Smith type contestants. Would they ever risk giving him a ringer or an Alex Scott journey type again? I just find him deeply unfunny with zero screen presence and he just doesn't seem to know how to show off his celeb
 
If they are doing an AT I can't see Rose and Gio doing a rumba too - AT will take care of the 'are they/aren't they?', and I think a charleston might be too much for Rose though it would be fun if they pull it off. I'd say waltz, as her Latin is her weak point, and Gio choreographs a lovely waltz

I feel that Neil may be top of the list to go. I just don't really get the point, the show obviously isn't that keen judging by 4 years on the bench, he was out first this year, doesn't seem to have screen presence or much teaching ability plus is 40 next year so isn't really a long term option.

They are usually only allowed 1 specialist dance in semis unless it's the American smooth because that is choregraphed by the Pros. Gio does do a lovely Waltz but I feel like I have seen a lot of ballroom from them.

I could see Neil moving back to the choreography team this years in house choreo hasn't been good moving him back to where is strongest might help with that side of things.

Yeah I think it would be too much - basically 1.5 days to learn each dance! Waltz is safe and if she gets high scores as expected with AT, it doesn't need to be more than lovely and romantic, which is Gio's signature.

I remember reading that they can only have 1 specialist dance in the semi-final...So thay rules out a Charleston if they're doing AT!?
I think it'll be a Waltz, she's definately stronger in ballroom...and Giovanni will be playing to all her strengths!

No offence but I just don't get this. All of them do sob stories of different kinds, whether it's injury, exhaustion, missing family etc. Rose talks about her deafness a lot but I don't think of that as a 'sob story', just valuable context to her experience on SCD. It's a historic thing John's doing, and I think it's great he's including Johannes in his CC, and so many young kids will see a same-sex gay partnership as normal.
