Looking forward to going back and reading everyone’s comments! My observations from tonight…

Adam and Katya - didn’t get off to a great start but did kind of pull it back. Kicks were a bit Rhys-esque (frantic). Think he’ll be in the dance off again. I agree with @Guitarwarrior he is used to being top of his game and the adulation that comes with that. I think he thinks he’s a better dancer than he is

Rose and Gio - hmm. The only slower samba I’ve really enjoyed was Joe and Katya’s but Rose danced it well. Loved how genuinely pleased they were to get 8s.

Tom and Amy - annoyingly good. I wish she wouldn’t screech. Nice of his mum to go along 😉.

Rhys and Nancy - how can all his dances look the same?! Still frantic and a lot out of hold and John and Johannes would’ve been criticised for that I think. Think he’ll be in the dance off too.

Tilly and Nikita - I enjoyed it! If she had been in any other year, I could see her making the final.

Dan and Nadiya - I appreciated his lack of sob story!! And I enjoyed the dance - yeah he was singing along and it was dad dancing but it made me smile. Genuinely don’t think he’s the worst dancer left.

John and Johannes - it was beautifully danced but there was something missing, I’m just not sure what it was. Definitely got the vibe they were both disappointed with the 8s. I hope there isn’t a backlash from pearl clutchers.

AJ and Kai - love love LOVED it! Disappointed Craig didn’t give it a 10 but that could’ve been because of Motsi trying to make him 😂

Sara and Aljaz - her head and fixed smile were off putting but she’s definitely better with ballroom. The hair and outfit though. Katya’s dress was stunning, Tom and Amy’s costumes were fab but her and Tilly’s dresses were awful

I voted for Rose, Tilly and Dan
 
Watching on iPlayer… Did the hair/make up/costume department all have a week off? Not one nice outfit! Poor Tilly does not suit the dark make up; Sara’s hair reminds me of Vera Duckworth… Not even Katya pulls off her outfit and she always looks flawless! Not even going to start on Claudia…
 
Can't remember who said it in the last thread about all the dances having a "theme"
But I agree... Why can't they give them traditional outfits for the dance and just have them come out and dance!
It was fine when things like that were used for a 'special' week ie Halloween, movie night, Blackpool but it's a bit much when they're used week in and week out...
 
Top dance for me was AJ and Kai, what an incredible Charleston 👏 😍 I was strangely moved by J&J's dance tonight but my eyes were fixated on Johannes as he was mesmerising. If John danced that part it would have been incredible and, no doubt, would have put them top of the leaderboard.

p.s. I'm bored of Dan and Adam 😴😴

I remember when Gi was in IACGMOH, I didn’t watch it but people I worked with did and kept saying how boring she was. I said I bet she’ll win it, it’s a fix and sure enough she won. They’ve got loads of friends on insta promoting Tom telling followers to vote. I’m worried he’ll bloody win it 😫

I don’t watch breakfast TV but I suppose he has fans from that? He also became quite popular when he organised that war memorial for that old man in Sheffield. I think he has a lot of ‘older’ fans and I know a lot of old people love Strictly.

I love J+J, they’re my favs along with Rose. But I do feel like a lot of the time, Johannes choreography does tend to favour Johannes.

I voted for Dan! I think he’s unintentionally funny and I’m enjoying seeing Nadiya coming out of her shell (lobster, geddit)

In saying that…I could’ve gone my whole life without knowing he has a hairy arse do I don’t think I’ll vote for him again 🙈
