i agree - I don't really mind at all about past dance experience. i like watching great performances. Every year there's a gripe about someone. Debbie Mcgee got a lot of flack because was a trained ballerina. But for me that didn't detract from my enjoyment of watching her and she did some phenomenal routines.

My main focus with Karen this series is her hair !! She appears to have gone for the lesbian biker undercut look !! Its a bold move !
Karen’s haircut is edgy but it suits her personality. She was ace with Charles last year. It’s surprising she’s still in it with Chris, no one expected that in week 1!

Kelvin did have his granny in the audience at Blackpool Elstree is apparently to far for her to travel & in an early VT Oti & Kelvin went & played bingo with her.

Yeah but his Granny didn’t cry!

Kelvin isn't above the nans and I'm sure we'll get his sob story next week for his couples choice. He's had tears over his daughter already. And while he's good, sometimes excellent, I would never mistake him for a professional, not that that should be expected.

I doubt we’ll get a sob story as he’s a Yorkshireman and they don’t show a lot of emotion (I’m married to one!).

Twice the judges have complimented him on being as good as a professional so I think they know what they’re talking about!

Chris hasn’t exactly improved, he’s done a fast side by side dance pretty much every week, he’s got all the ballroom left and it’s tit planning (producers obvs thought he wouldn’t make it this far!) that week 10 or whenever we are he’ll possibly have a waltz or something when he’s done so little ballroom.

Same with Kelvin & Karim, both excellent and joyous to watch but hard to see development when they have so many ballroom dances left!

Matching undercuts!!

Apparently Michelle has been trolling James Jordan on Twitter because of something he said about her!

I agree with James, the dance had hardly anything but arm-ography & she should have been pushed to do a really exciting energetic routine, like Saffron’s. It was all about the aesthetic (her costume & make up were stunning). She always harps on about being 51 but that is NOT AN OAP! 😳🙄😂 J Lo is 50 and fabulous and shows up women half her age! https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.standard.co.uk/showbiz/celebrity-news/strictly-come-dancing-michelle-visage-james-jordan-a4289401.html?amp

Of course there will be a sob story, it's happened for every couples choice VT. Even Chris supplied something about having acne in high school and being insecure. I think people fail to realise that this stuff is what they are told to do by the producers. They want the show to be as emotional and dramatic as possible. Kelvin has just had his couples choice later than most people so people think he's above it. I highly doubt he will refuse to go along with it.

And there's nothing wrong with people's family members getting emotional seeing them dance well, I think it's quite a natural, human response. It's called pride?

If you believe everything the judges say is genuine and honest then that's fine, but again, for me, I'm aware they want to give a good show. There's only so many generic compliments people can give before they run out, so then they start to go OTT (and no, it hasn't just happened with Kelvin). If at any point they could have truly mistaken him for a professional, then why wouldn't he have a 40 by now? The professional dancers often tone down their own dancing, so that their celebrities don't look bad in comparison. If you look Oti up on YouTube, you'll see that they're frankly not in the same league and Kelvin would stick out like a sore thumb in a professional contest. Again, nothing wrong with not being as good as a professional after 8 or so weeks, it's actually highly unrealistic. The only people that have been on this show that I'd say were that good at certain points are Danny Mac and Ashley Roberts.

I’m pretty sure he’s from Oldham, which is definitely not Yorkshire!!

Oops! I'm getting confused with him being in Emmerdale which is set in Yorkshire although I must admit his accent sounds Yorkshire to me!

I just watched ITT. I felt there was a VERY odd dynamic between Michelle and Gio. She seemed much more gushing about their relationship than he was. And his body language was odd - looking down at his hands most of the time.

Weren't there rumours about them not getting on and arguing in training?

Weird vibe between them for sure,
maybe he's the type who doesn't want to get involved in her ”spats” about the tour and the tit with James Jordan.

I have just caught up with ITT. Gio gave the impression that he didn’t want to do the Vogue dance but went along with it as a vanity project for Michelle, and it proved unpopular due to lack of actual dance moves & got them kicked out. She was all ‘me me me’ in the interview. I had liked her up until then but I was rolling my eyes watching it.

In fairness, even if he didn't like the Vogue idea... (didn't enjoy it myself and I was a fan of hers on the show)
HE is still the choreographer who creates their dance, so it was on him with the lack of actual dance moves 🤷‍♀️
