Just watching the panorama about private ADHD clinics, wonder if it's somewhere like this Vag is getting her "assessments" from because the NHS waiting lists especially for adults is horrendous.

I hate how trendy these labels have become. My daughter has ASD and ADHD and she has struggled immensely through her school years. As a parent I've had to watch that and it's been so difficult I can't even describe. Now folk are getting diagnosed with these things at the drop of a hat. People are on social media saying they're autistic or have adhd because of a wee quirk or two.

I thought about going private for my girl for a diagnosis as the waiting list was huge and I was told not to by a few people are if you're paying the money there ain't no way you're walking out there with no diagnosis. It makes me so mad for the people who do need actual help and support.

Agreed! Talking about this exact thing with a work colleague recently, we work in health claims and have seen a massive increase in claims for adults with late diagnosis with adhd and autism, had symptoms all their life, been seen to some random private clinic and told they have these conditions and then all of a sudden they can’t work! There was an article I saw recently as well I think on the bbc website about a guy who went undercover to some of these places and was diagnosed and given medication yet had already been properly assessed and didn’t have adhd or autism!!it’s shocking and I agree takes the support away from those who genuinely do need it

OK that scotland video is probably the cringiest thing I’ve seen her post yet…

actually no, quality street video will forever have the number 1 spot. That’s a close second though!
Adding to the cringe is she’s spelling Holyrood Holirood I mean come on to f’ck Staf at least get the spelling right. I thought social media was her job you’d think she would double check things like that and not embarrass herself even more. Ooops though this will be dyslexia, adhd or whatever condition she’s decided she has today.
