It's been said on here before that he wanted nothing to do with the kid for years and then all of a sudden wanted to be part of his life. I can understand his ex, she brought him up on her own for years and then when it suited Joe, she suddenly had to co-parent.

He walked away from Harry when he was a baby and said he wasn’t ready to be a father didn’t he? It was only years later when he was older he wanted anything to do with him I think. It’s no wonder she was hesitant about letting him back in to his life.

Am I right in saying he had no interest in seeing H at the start? I know dads can move out & still be there for their kids but I’m pretty sure he doesn’t fall into that category. I’d probably put my foot down if my husband did that & suddenly came crawling back looking for the kids but only to protect them from it happening again.
my friends ex dragged her through the courts in a similar situation & eventually was granted supervised visits to be reviewed after 6 months(if all had gone well they would have allowed unsupervised) he gave up after 5 visits & left a little girl in tears waiting for him in McDonald’s with her granny. He was never seen again.
it’s only natural that a mother protects her child & we also only have Snippets of the story from both sides.
