Apparently he’s off on holiday which surely given the circumstances should be cancelled. I’m no fan of the Tories but imagine Boris or Rishi had gone on holiday with all this carry on they’d be hell to pay.

indeed. He is the PM, I don’t mind the fact he clocks off on Friday to have dinner with his wife and family but these are quite exceptional circumstances and leadership is required.

I don’t expect that Boris would have come back either but I just expected more from Starmer.

Do you really think the rioters are reading a mainstream newspaper and are incensed to riot? Do you think the rioters are representative of the demographic who buy the Daily Express?

It also seems like it's difficult to predict which protests will go from some walking around while shouting some stuff to rioting and targeting hotels, shops, libraries or cars

Daily express is a paper my 80 year old in laws read. I’m not a fan of it myself but I doubt they have much in common with the rioters.

I couldn't find the tweet I really wanted to share but it was an example of the over saturation of how all immigration is bad and all immigrants are evil that has flooded all our media over the past few years which goes a long way to explain these riots are happening. The fact that immigration has been over simplified to all immigrants = bad is whats ridiculous

Daily Mail online is the most viewed “newspaper” website. It has diversified its content online to attract a younger demographic.
I would rather poke my eyes out with hot knives than read it but the amount of made up bullshit I hear people spouting that do read it is unbelievable, so yes, I believe that the rioters bought into the propaganda too.
