this is my first time posting on here, hello everyone! sophia’s just shared some book recommendations and i don’t understand why she couldn’t have shared a book that’s educational about racial issues, or even just any book by a black author? she must have seen people posting so many book recs over the past few days that she could have encouraged her audience (who i’m guessing are primarily young white women, like myself and herself) to read and educate themselves, consuming more black literature in the process. all those reposts on her story are just empty if she doesn’t take the time to actually educate herself and use her platform for good.
She will not recommend them because she is not and will not be reading them. Please don’t say you’re actively anti racist when all you do to educate yourselves is repost illustrated Instagram quotes and not actually understand real life examples through history. I’ve lost an unbelievable amount of respect for them with how fake and forced their ‘support’ is. You can really tell the difference between influencers who are sharing because they’re passionate and trying to educate themselves and their followers (eg Claudia sulewski) vs ones that post it for their own benefit. I have unfollowed both and I hope others stop supporting uneducated influencers like this

I definitely get racist vibes from Cinzia, sorry. I know that is a huge statement to make but I can’t shake it.
She (after DELETING comments on the issue) reposted a lousy quote. Then she’s reposted MULTIPLE ‘pats on the back’from her followers to her story. But she can’t post multiple stories with helpful information on racism ...how does that make sense? Im not buying her little performance at all.
Also, to my knowledge she has never promoted or shouted out other black people/ influencers, whereas Sophia has friends of different races and sexualities (seen on vlogs) and has shown love publicly to influencers of other races (eg Patricia).

a sports bra and that skirt would’ve been more “tennis vibes” anyway which is clearly what she thinks she’s achieving. That top couldn’t look further from a tennis outfit. Has she never watched the sport?? All for the supposed ‘aesthetic’ smh
I think In lidias vlog they were saying they’re actually really good at tennis... dress for it then hon 😂😂😂😂

you worded and expanded on this so much better than me, thank you! and don’t worry, i will not be engaging in either of their content anymore!!! honestly i used to really like them and i’m ashamed to admit that now. they’re so dense it’s unbelievable.

I was just looking back at how much Cinzias changed and it’s actually crazy. I understand people grow up and look different but she’s literally changed race. She’s really trying to do something, trying to look exotic or like she’s not white (I know she’s half Italian and they’re tanned but they’re still white). I can’t put my finger on what it is, maybe a mixture between how she styles herself and her hair and her lip injections she’s really trying to come across as mixed or Latina. I also understand fake tan is a thing but it’s more than that (eg in the last picture she’s fake tanned but still looks Caucasian)
If I Had a gorgeous olive tone like cinzia I would not be fake tanning! I’d get my legs out on the balcony and do it naturally! I was watching an old vlog of Lidias when they all went to Italy last summer and cinzia looks sooooooo good without makeup up I wish she could see it herself

I don’t think she’s actively racist, but her lack of anti racism promotion makes her a member of such group. Like I said above, I have noticed very much recently her level of cultural appropriation including lip injections, fake tan that’s way too dark so doesn’t give the appearance of being a white tanned person but a person of a different race, slicked back edges etc. Whether intentionally or unintentionally culturally appropriating as a black girl ive found it very offensive and decided to unfollow her as q result of it. She’s someone that has endlessly benefited from white privilege and chooses to use black culture in her day to day life yet never spoke of celebrating black culture or promoting anti racism showing her entitlement. She also captions her pictures things like island gal adding to the perception that she’s not white. I’m not saying she actively pretends to be another race, but she culturally appropriates so often it’s difficult to see

Cinzia is deffos the type to want a mixed baby and fetishise black men
She probably fooled herself into thinking she is mixed that’s why she’s with Lewis

Cinzias socialblade, what happened on Thursday? Did she forgot to buy her followers that day? Seems a bit weird...

The girls are very aware all eyes are on them. Wonder how long it will last. But I won’t be supporting them or other social media influencers who I feel are not genuine with it
I get where this is coming from but I have to disagree. Influencers have an influence. They must use their platform, their voice, and their privilege to promote #blacklivesmatter . I know so many people who would never have signed certain petitions/donated to certain organisations if these links hadn't been shared by people (like Sophia and Cinzia) in positions of influence. Yes- of course- by being 'forced' into sharing this content, an ignorance is revealed and we can assume the support is surface-level, but even if sharing petitions and important links is motivated by appearance and is entirely shallow, I think it's a bare minimum requirement of influencers/influential people. If it can only be brought about by shaming them into it, so be it. They have influence and a privilege. Using it will inspire others to take action.

Edit: this is in response to the attachment in your post, not your post itself. I totally understand not wanting to support people who don't appear genuine with it.

I don’t know but a lot of her followers have 0 posts and no profile picture. She also has very low engagement for her amount of followers
Can we find out if they’re real or not?

Hold up, sophia gained ten thousand on one day?!??

Yes they’ve shared it with their followers but in the same way when they stop promoting anti racism once the hype dies down so will their followers. It’s also how they glorify themselves for posting as if they deserve a pat on the back. I do not see any other influencers reposting their fans congratulating them for doing the bare minimum. It’s clear from this they’re using it to release themselves from guilt and attack rather than genuinely care. It’s teaching their followers to do the same. Peoole are mourning, and their followers, especially their black ones should not have to look at their stories and see them post a couple of quotes about black rights and then 10 stories reposting compliments about them doing one thing for anti racism from their followers.

for me, their approach is trivialising the issue and is being treated like any other trend they hop on.

Can we find out if they’re real or not?

That was from her competition as people were tagging their friends who then had to follow Sophia to win

Didn’t Cinzia do a giveaway too though? She didn’t get that much of an increase in followers, 10k in a day is crazy
