It's definitely the skincare she's using. I jumped on the retinol bandwagon a few years ago and the exact same happened to me especially around the lips and under the eye. It's retinol burn. I ended up with a severe reaction that took a week of steroids to clear. I didn't use cheap retinol serums, I used a salon brand and was religious about SPF with it. As a result I now have extremely sensitive skin and can only use certain products. Sinead should stop using whatever free lotions and potions she's been given and give her skin a break.
