I don’t actually know from this picture who the baby looks like…. They both have no eyes…. The poor thing has no chance in the teeth department either.

I will say though even though it’s not what she should be doing I’m quite glad she has updated with the process as I am 25 weeks and didn’t have a clue how it worked 😂 (ignorance is bliss)

Saw in her instagram comments that the baby was 7lbs 1oz.

I feel like she's not announcing that more publicly because she thought she'd have a smaller baby? She made such a big deal about the hospital being worried about growth multiple times (all those fecking scans), then being induced early, she probably thought she'd have a little dinky dot of a baby.

It's weird though, she should be proud she's had such a healthy baby!

The baby was good... I'm shocked! She's newborn all they do is sleep. Was she expecting the baby to be having a tantrum, demanding extra hot espresso and dancing on the tables?

Also, 7lb 1oz, not so small

i thought that, maybe the scans were driven by her rather than the hospital. Rather than her being on the small side I can imagine Steph probably kept finding reasons to keep having scans

Honestly I thought the same. She's shouted about every other part of that pregnancy and birth other than the weight

I still think she was induced because she was going in for reduced movements and not for them thinking she was small.

I said previously (it may be different elswhere)
3 pregnancies and its always been that unless they've dropped loads or not grown at all that they'd consider induction.
Where as she went for 2 growth scans. First was measuring perfectly and then the second she said she hadnt grown as much.

My baby this time hadn't grown much and they said they don't worry over just 1 drop. They'd get me in for another and see.

So just from my experience, I think she went in for reduced movement.
Because again (from personal experience) if they send you for a growth scan after fundal measuring, it's rarely the same day. Don't know as I've ever known it to be the same day for a scan.

I second this, my baby was suddenly measuring small on one scan ( I was having regular scans as I was high risk), I then had to wait 2 weeks for a scan then 2 weeks for a second to check for sure.
I'm pretty certain that she's been crying reduced movements.

Yep! Exactly!
It's been the same experience with all 3 of mine.
Especially at 38 weeks too.

She reads here too and we'd said a lot about her going in for reduced movements, so wouldn't surprise me if she made up the growth thing.

I was thinking this too because she would’ve had a growth scan I know they can be unreliable but surely not that much?

They wouldn't induce you from one small reading. I had to have 2 follow up scans. There's a host of reasons you get an anomaly in growth scans, not just cause the baby is small. I think she's made it all up which is why she's been so vocal about everything other than the baby's weight

I don't know, they told me my baby this time was 9lbs and she was 6lb 14, 5 days later 😂
So they can be.

They just normally measure again 2 weeks later. They don't go off just 1 drop. Because she was measuring fine the scan before she had. Which again, apparently managed to get a scan a few hours later
