No i heard that wrong, you are correct it was her child care subsidy which was also cut.

Be interested to know where she is studying full time nursing, Christchurch?. Commuting over 250 km a a day would be a huge burden on top of studying, and doing night shifts placements as well

Could possibly be Timaru, which is about 30min away from Geraldine.
As for the subsidy for childcare, that never even came in, it was a labour pledge to start next year, so technically hasn't been cut as it never started. And has aside hussle as a cleaner but can't buy a 2yr old a $20 gift??? And 2yr old don't really understand christmas...
I understand times are bloody tough but I do feel some of that letter seems a bit off.

Nursing training can only be done at polytech, Christchurch Dunedin Invercargill and Nelson are the only places in the South Island where you can study

Timaru doesn’t offer nursing. As you said the subsidy can’t be cut as it wasn’t ever live. The girl is a consistent lier.

Their benefit would only have been cut if they were earning over the threshold from other sources or hadn’t complied with the conditions of their benefit.

There’s a possibility that they were receiving a temporary supplement and that ran out or the new child support system has meant that one of those temporary supplements was reduced as child support is now paid to the receiving parent (rather than to IRD to offset their benefit) but that reduction wouldn’t have been huge.
 
Childcare subsidies haven’t been cut - changes haven’t come into effect yet. The only way a subsidy would have been cut is if the parent’s income increases over the threshold. If they’re studying in an approved course then the subsidy is for up to 50 hours a week. It may be that they don’t receive the subsidy while they’re not studying over the holidays but the child wouldn’t need to be in care during that time sooooo…..? 🤷‍♀️

We also haven’t had the displeasure of seeing them in bed together for a while. Which is nice. I’ve been starting to finally enjoy having eyes again.

Casseroli will likely force Tent to keep up the charade of being happily married until the day he dies though. Wouldn’t be surprised if she had him sign a prenup to that effect tbh.

She never says how much she paid for this person, but by the “extra $650” it sounds like maybe thats a figure related to the rent per week.
A quick trade me search brings up a couple of 3 bedroom houses for $540-$590 so it can’t be $650/week, especially not in what appears to be a very small town. Being that this person is a single mum with one child, you have to assume that they’re in a 2 bedroom “cottage” as it was described so maybe their rent is $325/week?

And because I don’t believe ANYTHING Simone says or does, I then have to wonder whether any of this sob story is true or just more made up bullshit, and did she really choose her based on the sob story or did she choose her based on the cheap rent??

I just laugh so much when she has to prove us wrong. But once again there is music in the background and we all know that means she’s standing right there directing. Can we see some language development and toilet training now?
