Are they really so desperate to stay relevant and edgy that they are going to introduce pegging when you’re knocking on 60? They refuse to let any of these characters grow older with any respect or dignity don’t they? The only character development they have shown is Miranda turning into an utter bleep and Charlottes face advertising bad plastic surgery. This really is a lesson in how to ruin much loved characters isn’t it?
 
I’m currently rewatching SATC, reaching end of season 3. I have a few things I’d like to get off my chest.

I know a lot of you are not fans of his but I stand by all my previous statements about Aidan. He’s a great guy and Carrie ruined everything and broke his heart by cheating on him with Big. When she confessed and appealed to him to write it off as a mistake, he told her that he knew himself too well and it’s not something he could get over. They should NEVER have got back together. Aidan still loved her but he never forgave her and it brought out the absolute worst in him - hardly surprising when she repeatedly taunted him with the man she had an affair with. When Carrie broke his heart for the second time, that should have been it. That Aidan would never have kissed Carrie in the second car crash movie! Why oh why oh why are they dragging this character out again? Just no! There’s no logical explanation other than someone else dying!

Also, I’m reliving why I loathe Carrie so. She’s the worst. She’s a terrible friend and makes everything about her. I’m loving the other characters, Samantha has the best jokes and her delivery is superb. Miranda is so smart, witty and relatable and Charlotte is a lot more likeable than I remember. Carrie is theeeee worst friend to all of them and why they all turn to her as their best friend is the biggest mystery of all. Rewatched the LA episodes last night and Carrie is unbearable. Carrie the sex writer is disgusted by all things pornography, rudely refuses the dildo gift from Samantha and is disinterested in the Playboy mansion!!! How did we ever fall for this nonsense that she was a sex writer?! (Also, it’s ridiculous they actually expected us to believe a production company would be interested in making a movie out of her columns).

One thing the hubby pointed out the other night that I’m embarrassed to say kinda went over my head all this time, Carrie apparently writes about her life in this column - nobody in her life must read it. Like NOBODY. And she gets the majority of her content from the other characters - affirming that NOBODY reads her column.

Apologies for the rambling rant, like Aidan, Carrie brings out the worst in me 🧘🏼‍♀️

Kinda looking forward to Thursday but more looking forward to this thread on Friday 🥰
 
Someone recommended tinyzone on here the other day, I just tried it and couldn’t get it to work so does anyone have any other sites where I could watch the new series?

Hard agree with this all! Am also midway through a rewatch (S4) and can’t believe the whole log cabin debacle - as if you’d invite the man you’d cheated with to visit! Also the fact that Aidan accepted that Big would “always have to be a part of my life” - that should immediately have been a deal-breaker. Anyway: rant over!

Couldn’t agree more, Carrie wanted to have her cake and eat it. If I was Aidan I would have said you can’t see us both, and walked away if she wouldn’t give him up. He wasn’t just in her life, he was calling her to witch about his problems, they were having cosy diners together, he wasn’t just her ex, he was the guy she cheated on Aiden with! Ridiculous plot
