I've just caught up on AJLT. As a previously die hard SATC fan I couldn't tear myself away even with the absence of Samantha

I have to admit I disliked more than I liked

- explanation for the absence of Samantha is stupid. Samantha would never ever be that petty to just stop talking to the girls for a reason like that. She loved them and certainly would never move to another country because Carrie fired her.

- The unbearable wokeness of it all. Miranda has a black professor, so what? But of course they have to make a massive deal of it, including racism and "White saviourism" reducing Miranda, a once smart, witty and sharp lawyer to a silly old woman trying to be politically correct. It was embarrassing. Of course they also had to include a non binary person aswell. Again, no issue with anyones sexuality or identity but the producers are trying too damn hard and too much too quickly.

Is it me or did Carrie handle Bigs death very calmly in comparison to lesser dramatic things that have happened in the past?

I will keep watching as despite my misgivings its lovely to see the girls but so far, the jurys out.

What exactly has Natasha done for all the girls to be so bitchy about her? Carrie and big were the problem there. She was the wronged party.

The rose storyline is completely predictable.🙄🙄

Not a fan of the che character. Wish I could fast forward those bits. Why are they so vulgar all the time? And the whole stand up was just stupid. Didn't make sense and not funny at all.
"Change your job, change your gender" what the hell? Assuming Che and miranda have something... I really hope not.

Kristin looks better this episode.

Not really interested in the Miranda as an alcoholic storyline.

I feel like all the characters are really removed from who they were. I get people grown but Miranda seems completely different and there's no way Charlotte wouldn't struggle more with the rose storyline.

The toilet scene. Really. Not even funny. Even all gender toilets 🤣

I think I'm missing the talkovers Carrie used to do. That would make it feel about more familiar.

Carrie was so dismissive of Charlotte's worries about Miranda.🙄

they really do, I feel terrible for these women, thank god it is finally coming out after all these years . I wonder if peloton make a statement?
I'd imagine the peloton press department would be happy to never mention the show or any of its actors ever again. It's not a great look in the peloton ad having him flirt with someone so young even before these allegations.

Im not loving it...far too much shoe-horning of every kind of difference. Why cant miranda & steve still be happy? Why does someone, who has shown no previous inclination, have to fall for the non-binary person & appear to have completely changed personality. Why does Stanford appear to have issues with Charlotte? The best bit was Anthony talking to her about rose...just let her be.

Totally agree about Carrie's reaction to Charlotte and the Miranda issue, how is just drinking too much with friends (or even at home) the same as having a minibar in your school backpack?! The standup was exactly the same as the podcast, no continuity, just jumping from one point to another. I don't care about Che being non binary, I have no issue with that, she seems like an interesting character in some ways but all the crudeness is really childish imo. And speaking of the podcast, the description of the woman stalking the other podcast guy for me was just like the "crazy ex girlfriend" trope, which I find really backward and sexist tbh, typical "hysterical woman"
I think next will be Rose changing "their" name

the peloton thign is so odd, I had assumed they didn't know the details of the storyline, but talking to someone who works in the industry they have to sign off on exactly how it is presented. God knows what they were thinking

Full body cringe during the Stand up "comedy" scene 😬

I don't think Peloton would need to sign off on it, it's a household brand name and not something they'd need to clear with them. Some places might have a policy to get brands to sign off, but It wasn't really blaming peloton itself. Peloton said they knew it was being used but didn't know anything else, they should have started a case before it aired it they were concerned.

The peloton drama is more interesting than any of the writing.

Did they just have a lucky dip of every single hot topic they could include in 2021? It's getting so irritating and pulling me out of the show!

The scene with Charlotte and Rose could've been really touching but it just made me cringe. As soon as she said "I don't like being called Baby Girl anymore..." I could see what was coming.

This for me is the biggest discontinuity in the character from the original series. Her character would normally milk something like this. I think we’ll see some of that pain once her new love interest is introduced.
but we are already 3 episodes in and it is (I think) only 10 in total..., how could they do it? or are they hoping for another series ? (unlikely)
