I also wonder about SJP if she's as bad as Kim Catrall makes out? I mean she has never slated her but I guess that doesn't mean she is squeaky clean either. She doesn't give much away really. I still love her hair though ☺️
 
Whether you love her or dislike her, I think we can all agree SJP looks so good! I take back what I said about her long hair on thread 1, it looks amazing.

I think her clothes are fabulous and she has a tiny frame to show them off and she can walk in heels, but definitely not my idea of beautiful. Striking, yes.

It would be a boring world if we all had the same idea of what beauty is.

Although not as obvious as Charlotte, Carrie looks to me as if she’s had a bit of work too. For someone that thin and a heavy smoker at one time (or was that just the character?) the face is quite padded out.
 
SJP is unconventionally beautiful, I think, particularly in contrast to Samantha who is maybe more archetypal “pretty” (button knows, wide eyes, cheekbones) but bland as all duck IMO. I know who my eyes are drawn to when they’re all on screen.

I am really learning in my rewatch that I cannot bear Samantha 😄…..she is breathily affected all the time.

Oh god me too… all of samanthas little Mae West type breathy comments/bad double entendres about blokes. There was a brilliant bit in the “sentimental in the city” podcast about that, all the “I’d like to show him my lower manhattan” wink wink, cringe

on my re watch I am loving the episode with Matthew mcconaughey .. “THATS BULLSHIT CARRIE AND YOU KNOW IT” :LOL:

I also find Aidan much more annoying these days. He’s so sanctimonious and just seemsto love himself. Like when Carrie asks him what his flaws are and he can’t think of any….. and when they get back together he’s such an arse like with the girl at Steve’s bar.

Ugh yes - the jacks. Twosies! What’s foursies? While Carrie’s stood there fuming in her crop top, pencil skirt and flat cap combo.
