Line of Duty 'showrunner' (such a wanky term) Jed Mercurio was on Instagram promoting his screenwriting course.

Half the comments were people saying "Will it teach me how to write an ending?" :D

I think he’s a lot more talented than he’s given credit for. He’s never going to be character actor, in that I suspect he can’t do any other accent than ‘London geezer’ and you’ll never see him as say, Mr Darcy, but he can do nuance and pathos. He was great in Rivals and Eastenders tbf. He’s no worse than Ray Winstone (who once played an historical Henry VIII as a cockney gangster which didn’t really land for me).

I hated the ending but love that he, and the cast, did those videos with Led by Donkeys.

I had to stop watching Line of Duty because I am completely incapable of retaining any plot details etc.

Like I know who the main characters are, but they'd keep bringing up stuff from previous series and I hadn't got a pissing clue who or what they were talking about. Even stuff from just the previous series. I had to keep looking stuff up, so I just gave up. Too much effort.

Did they ever find H?

This is why the ending was bullshit. Because it required having paid attention for the whole thing, remembering everything, and most casual viewers wouldn't have remembered everything.

I could have written this post.
I still don't know who H was.

I can't retain all details of plots either.
For instance, earlier this year I discovered the CJ Skuse novels about Sweetpea.
I read all four and pre ordered the fifth from amazon. It arrived yesterday and I'm wracking my brains trying to remember everything that happened before.
