I haven’t been (thankfully) in the Barrowman situation but I have felt intimidated and laughed along when I was terribly uncomfortable. I can only guess that this is what happened here. Exposing himself on set isn’t acceptable, it’s good he left otherwise we’d all be shouting at the BBC again had they not done anything. However sacking Barrowman yet keeping others who behave badly is double standards.

No doubt some people laughed along while feeling deeply uncomfortable, but I think the higher ups felt quite comfortable laughing about it



And didn’t Christopher Eccleston call out RTD and the producers for creating a toxic working environment on set, and was effectively blacklisted for speaking out?

My main issue is that it should have been dealt with by the time, and is wasn't and those people have had literally zero consequences. If the general public knew about it at the time, it is absurd to think that people like Russel T Davis and the other producers didn't. At the end of the day, they are responsible for running the show. They should not have let people feel uncomfortable on set.

RTD has had work since he left DW, and was invited back with open arms. Moffat has had loads of work, so have the other less public facing staff. Why are they not facing consequences for letting him behave unchecked?

I'm not a JB fan, but I think he was massively thrown under the bus.

I once interviewed (and hired) a girl for a role who had worked at Harrods and with him.

When she joined she opened up a lot more freely as to why she left there. She had started working in the Beauty Hall and he had spotted her and insisted she move from there and come alongside and work upstairs with his team of Assistants.

She said he was an absolute letch and that people turned a blind eye to it as he was the Boss. She could not stand it any longer and hence why she left. She was (and sure she still is!) absolutely beautiful - blonde haired, blue eyed - which was apparently his type.

I've said several times on here that I'd be amazed if it turned out the assassin that is Sir Clifford of Richard turns out to be a pweirdo.

If he really was involved in stuff, when he was arrested was the prefect time to go to the police. The police were practically begging people to.come forward. And it looks like nobody did.

And as I've also said before, if you actually know that's he's a pweirdo - don't talk about it here - go to the police!!!

Personally I think he's gay but he feels he can't come out because pops most famous Christian!!!

Probably also worried about his fan base turning on him.

I went to see Barry Manilow after it was announced he'd married the guy he'd been with for 40yrs.

Firstly the diehard fans knew and weren't bothered. Otherwise it seemed everyone was pleased he was with someone who loved him.

I'm sure if Cliff came out the response would be the same.

I think the Cliff thing probably involves paying for rent boys when he was younger and very closeted.
I agree, I don't think he's a paedophile. I reckon that there is likely some question over the ages of the rent boys - this is where the unpleasantness comes in to play. I doubt anyone who was involved would come forward because they're either no longer here to tell the tale or would be too ashamed to say "I was a rent boy in the 60s and Cliff was a client".

I also agree that he doesn't want to appear to go against certain Christian values and will never admit to being gay.

Like SaVile, rumours have always circulated around Harry Webb & like SaVile, HW has some kind of protection on his side, no one has ever actually spoken out about Harry, but like SaVile, I imagine once he's dead, it will all come out,

I still find it very strange he was interviewed several times in the wake of Jill Dando's death. What did the police know to pull him in for questioning. Her face in the Dando documentary when she sees he's turned up at that ball is a picture. Not a picture of, oh here's my mate Cliff, More, Oh duck what's he doing here.


I'm still convinced David Jason is the same, once he's gone people will speak out.
 
If this is about Justin Bieber, no wonder he’s troubled. I hope he’s got lots of support.
