Oh yeah, he’s a total knob! I just remember really not liking the way she seemed to think she could be a spokesperson for gay men when she’s not one, just been around a lot of them.
 
I’ve not watched corrie in years but caught a clip the other day with bill roache. His speech was odd

On the previous thread someone mentioned Anthony cotton being friends with Tony warren, my understanding from my friend in the corrie circles is that he wrote to him basically selling himself as the perfect gay character. Was just after queer as folks which pains me as he was ok in that but guess he was playing himself 😂

Ive had the displeasure of being in his company on more than one occasion and he’s always been completely vile to me. REALLY arrogant (very much a ‘don’t you know who I am’ type) and on one occasion (I’d met him a few times at this point) he took complete umbrage with me calling him Kelly, and insisted on being called ‘Mr Jones’ 🙄
And yeah, he did name his daughter Lolita 🤮

(He’s also really fuckin short, so I do wonder if he’s got a cracking case of ‘short man syndrome’ which perhaps I saw the worst side of, cause I’m well over 6ft)

Kelly Jones used to have a thing for one of my friends at the time, years ago. It was before they were big but we all knew who they were. She worked on a beauty counter in back in Wales and he used to drop by and act like he was Tom Cruise, like some sort of celeb/visiting politician/charitable figure. He was a proper miniature man.

Cold tea I know but it's all I've got.

Something about her gives me really bad vibes - she’s very much “my way or the high way” which is a bit off putting when she’s speaking for a group she’s not part of etc. She also comes across as very controlling underneath a false niceynice exterior.

But I’ve never met her or had any dealings with anyone who has, just based on TV etc.

thats put me in mind of Ben Kingsley who apparently is insistent on use of the Sir.... most other ppl with that title don't seem as hung up about it

Im another one who gets bad vibes off her. Shes got a radio show on radio 2 on a Friday night (tbf she plays some great stuff) and EVERY Friday night my mate messages me something along the lines of ‘She knows she’s not a gay man doesn’t she?’

When I first saw her on the Drag Race panel I was convinced that she was a drag queen.
