Diana knew exactly what she wanted and she went for it. And there are worse things than being married into wealth. Most married people are in loveless marriages anyway, they survive and they don't have all the wealth and comfort to keep them sane on a daily basis which she did.

Where on earth do you get the idea that most marriages are loveless? Lots of people, including myself very much love our partners, wouldn't be together otherwise. I agree though that Diana should have known what she was getting into, i certainly would at that age but whilst being married at 21 was more common then, you certainly weren't on the shelf, my family members were getting married in their mid to late 20s and nobody thought the women were getting on a bit.

I think the Thomas brothers and the PLT brothers have been friends since they were quite young. I bet I read that on a thread on here because I can't think why else I'd know this information 😆.

I think that comes from her being a relatively young mother, with two young children. People saw her as a person first rather than some 'royal' who was wronged by her then-husband and the institution. The response and coverage to her death was surreal.

By all accounts, she was a savvy woman but had a pathological addiction to media coverage.
 
I don’t agree that women were labelled spinsters at 21. More people married back then, so more people married young - but it was not at all unusual to not be married in your 20s.
We go towards late 80s into 90s were living together and children without marriage became a lot more common. My sister married at 24 in 1985 - with my family trying to talk her out of it, as they believed that she was too young and had only known her husband to be for a year.

I am under the impression that Diana knew what she was getting in to. She is from the aristocracy, and knows how royalty works and “marrying” into wealthy / powerful families.

Ryan Thomas was his best man and he was always driving PLT's Rolls Royce about in Manchester. When RT was in the Big Brother Umar Kamani had a helicopter fly over with a banner saying something like Ryan to win.

Now it’s all his own singles and tit shows at Ushuaia
