I found this odd that they announced it literally as the new series was airing. There must be a reason because I know I have deleted the series link because what's the point in watching now?

Does anyone know the 'work' of 'artist' Thomas Kinkade? This sort of bollocks provokes the same reaction in me to his paintings - twee, chocolate boxy, sickeningly sweet, insincere shite targeted at the artistically / emotionally backward. Disney is pretty much the same vibe or people with cutesy internet usernames or collectors of mountains of cuddly toys (usually the sign of a psycho).

Those sharing it are the same as the mentalist 'be kind' mob who are usually the opposite IRL.

With Rachel Riley, I'm surprised that someone with a 'public presence' who is supposedly intelligent wouldn't hold off from pressing the blue Tweet button until she knew all the facts. Was she drunk or high or something or is it arrogance that makes her pipe up before getting the full picture? All she needed to say was, 'I made a harmful assumption, and I'm sorry. I will try to do better in future'.

But oh no, she had to whitter on about herself and double-down. It's clear her filter and her perception is very narrow (or, racist).

Even when it’s been made extremely clear that she was completely wrong she’s refusing to back down. I think you may be giving her too much credit - she’s a disgusting racist piece of utter shite.

I was trying to look for that Tik Tok which I read a few days alleged that, but to no avail. Perhaps it's been taken down? Apparently it was a smallish account. If there has been infidelity it might explain the immediate mention of divorce rather than just a separation and divorce later. Also, how sudden it was, and how it took a lot of people by surprise.

If I were Susie I'd be wishing Rachel would stick to talking about maths, and looking pretty by the Countdown board. If people are turned off Rachel it could turn them against the show, so she's not doing the show any favours.

I saw Susie Dent when she was on a book tour (It was a book about words, you’ll be unsurprised to hear) She was lovely, very engaging and told a good story. There was a Q&A at the end and some gammon-y old white dude asked a question that was along the lines of “bloody yoof of today, running the language, they have all sorts on the telly dropping their t’s etc. Ruddy disgrace, isn’t it Susie?”

And in the most eloquent way I’ve ever heard, she basically told him that language evolves and he should get over himself. Only she said it so beautifully, I don’t think he even heard the implied insults within it. It was stunning piece of speaking. I’ve been a big fan ever since.

So I can only assume she says similar stuff to Rachel Riley all the time who misses it completely.
