I agree with this he got her into drugs, hired escorts for threesomes etc and gave her std(s). She just came across as so vulnerable and I know she was an adult but as discussed in previous threads (I wont go back into that) you can have adults who are vulnerable and have the emotional maturity of children. My perception is that she loved him and just went along with what he wanted he seemed more mature than her an she took advantage of her.

Maybe the media just did a really good job of tainting him but I've never been able to look at him the same 😓

I saw that and was a bit confused by it. Didnt he have characters that where copies of white and black people. Why is he apologising ? I feel like his characters where skits of the people and their characters rather than on the colour of their skin or I am incorrect ?

I've just finished this book and tried googling several different ways to find out who Powder supported on tour. Couldn't find anything. She says it's a man she fancied, so not Justine Frischmann - and way before Supergrass so none of those boys.

In the book "Different For Girls" Louise Wener from Sleeper doesn't seem to like Justine at all. Dunno about the golden brown angle though. There was that 90s love triangle of Brett Anderson from Suede, Justine and Damon.

Even they seemed super glam! Boy, was that a trip down memory lane. Tony Blair was interviewed and I'm not a fan but there is no denying that there seemed to be a real earthquake happening here after all those miserable Tory years. The UK was cool again and the place to be. I pray once our current political nightmare is over the next generation will have a renewed sense of optimism and pride (alas, I think the country is too far gone now).

i actually went to watch the United victory parade - talk about jumping on the bandwagon!
but I know what you mean about Blair - it was the first election that my age had ever been eligible To vote in. It was a boiling hot day - and of course every student voted for him, we stayed up all night watching the votes roll in. We really thought it would change the world.... ho hum

That was amazing year, Jayne Middlemiss was such a witch to Abi Titmuss when Lee Sharpe preferred her! I still remember her going on and on about how fat Abi was compared to her, her ego was astounding she genuinely couldn’t believe it. Do you remember the year with Paul ‘Dangerous’ Danon? 😲
I‘d absolutely love a rerun of this! Can we start a petition? 😍

Yep that's the one! Could even have been 2005 I'm not 100% sure.

He won it with Bianca Gascoigne.

Do you remember the episode after Alicia Douvall left and she recorded a message to Bianca saying she was one cupcake away from obesity :oops:

That was also the series where Sophie Anderton was completely obsessed with Shane Lynch, it was so cringe to watch!

they need to bring this back - why was it cancelled? I suppose it's not the best for their mental health though as we were all, in essence, just laughing at them all.

I think it was to do with the ratings and viewer numbers.

Season 2 didn't get as many viewers as season 1.

I would love if they brought it back and allowed them to drink as much as they did in the old series. Even the non celeb Love Island reduced the amount of alcohol the cast could have after series 2, stopped showing as much bedroom antics and even stopped showing smoking.

It was herpes he was accused of giving her among other things. She wrote a letter to him that is available online and was devastated that she had been given something that there is no cure for. I don’t know if it’s true, but I wouldn’t think that insurance would be affected by herpes. She also stated that he had introduced her to using sex workers and plied her with drugs. The wrongful death suit was dismissed and she seemed to be a lost and troubled soul, but it doesn’t mean that her accusations weren’t true.

What’s with Callum Best’s accent as well? Haven’t seen him on anything for years but we watched Celeb Ex on the Beach this year and I couldn’t get over his switching between cockney twang and generican drawl 😆 it was like when he was speaking without thinking he’d switch back to his actual voice but when he was aware of the cameras he’d try and put on an American accent. He’s so cringe

If anyone wants to go down a very deep rabbit hole, there are plenty of articles which link Gaga, and Katy Perry to a “performance artist” called Marina
Abrovamic. Marina is the author of the “Spirit Cooking” book, and is a VERY powerful person with links to the whole ping pong/pizzagate story. She is also, apparently, some kind of satanic high priestess, and, as the story goes, is responsible for initiation into the so called “Illuminati”. Apparently, Lady Gaga was desperate to become an actress, so an initiation was devised by Marina, which involved Gaga being stripped naked and blindfolded, then dumped in a (private) forest, and had to try and find a way back - without freaking out. Apparently this also happened to Katy Perry - who started her career as a “Christian” singer, but after Marina groomed her, she completely changed her image, and often uses satanic/illuminati images in her videos, and her songs get more and more raunchy. So, back to Gaga, apparently, Marina has said that Gaga was her “favourite student” and was very impressed by her dedication and willingness. And, so Gaga got the part in the hugely successful film “A star is born”, and her career has skyrocketed since. There have been rumours that Miley Cyrus, and Taylor Swift have also been students of Marina. It’s also interesting to add, that Marina herself has ties to the “Rockefeller Foundation”, as well as the Clintons, and the Podesta brothers. I also read somewhere, that people who practice Satanism have to “ show themselves” in public, which might explain why Katy in particular uses a lot of satanic imagery in her videos. I also read that when Taylor Swift was humiliated on stage by Kanye West (That award should have gone to Beyoncé) That was her test to see how she would handle public humiliation, and she obviously passed the test, as her career has been very successful. Edit to add - Who really knows what goes on behind closed doors, but this whole Marina “High Priestess” thing really fascinates me, and I find her a really interesting person, and I recommend finding interviews with her, as the way she talks, and her whole body language is like nothing I’ve seen before, there is creepy, and there is bleeping creepy, and Marina is most definitely the latter. 😱😱😱
